Steelers vs. Ravens Gameday Thread

Bad clock management by the coaching staff. Passing the ball with 2:37 left!! Baltimore would've used their last time out, if they would've ran. Bring in Big Ben and the boys for 4th down and let him pooch punt it. Now,the Ravens have no more time outs and have to drive the same distance, with more pressure and less clock.

 

This really has nothing to do with Gay. He is just the whipping guy at this moment. Ike stunk too. These guys dropped some sure catches all night long but somehow the Ravens still managed to convert like 20 first downs on 3rd and long.

So, if Tomlin is quick to pull the plug on Mendenhall, why no pull it on some of the stiffs playing defense?

I can't believe how many way we figured how to lose that game in the last 4 plus minutes...

 

because unlike at RB, anything that's left behind Gay are guys like McToastie ...

 

rutan u say this has nothing to do with gay but i bet i know 31 qbs out there that when they play the steelers and they need a first down or completion, they target number 22 william gay from louisville ky. Coincidence? I think not. Horrible play calling on offense with less than 3 minutes left, thats a given. Safeties not helping covering deep, a given as well. William gay having little to do with the loss and many others, your not watching the same games as i am then. We havent had a good corner since woodson which is amazing with the defenses we have had over the years. So disgusted

 

The entire secondary is awful with a capital A. Get it? Gay just happened to be the guy that got beat on the TD. Ike got burned all night long and sure the guy failed to make the catch a couple of times, but he is not that good of a corner.

Bouldin was open on the over the middle and missed one and made a couple. It just wasn't or isn't Gay. Look, he stinks, but the entire defense in my opinion stinks! No pressure on Flacco. How many 3 and longs did they convert tonight?

Gay is just this weeks or will be this weeks poster for who blew the game, but he alone is hardly to blame.

If he is THAT bad, and I believe he is, then isn't the coaching staff more at fault for playing him? Hmmmmm?

Hey guys. On a positive note, the new MB was great and there was a lot of action on here with tons of posters. I know we are all P.O'd and upset about the team - player execution, play-calling, etc. But let's keep it all in perspective - the sun will still come up tomorrow. I enjoyed hanging with you all for the game. Good night!!!

 

Ouch.... that reeks. I'm thinking if we lose next week, there may not be any point watching more games. Gosh, do I sound like the pessimist or what? But, we'll be in bad shape for playoffs if we lose.
