Can't stand someone who calls wveryone who disagrees with them "fairweather."

Ad hominem attacks over debating actual results will always anger me.

Lots of people on this forum have been fans for 30+ years. I can disagree with them but I'd never call them fairweather.

And uh... fairweather fans usually cheer for teams that have won a Super bowl or at the very least a single playoff game in recent history.

 

If they don't start blitzing DB's off the edge and making Mallet uncomfortable this is going to be a long second half. The Ravens Oline can handle the standard rush five like they have the first half and Mallet gets a five step drop and by then the weak spots in the zone are exposed and its just pitch and catch

 

Jokes on Baltimore. It's all part of our master plan to ensure they get a lower draft pick....SUCKERS!!!!

Even with the Ravens wanting it, they're still not in the same class as the Steelers. This is about the Steelers just not showing up (and yet somehow that makes people fairweather).

Ravens have led at the half only FOUR times all year. FOUR!!

 

I think we bought into the media too much. We should stomp these yet they look like the ones playing for a playoff spot. Hopefully they have a second half like they had last week.

 

Time to feed my sorrows on leftover holiday glazed ham. On a related note, our boys are lucky they are only down by ten.

 

Urg... that was difficult to watch. I really hope we find whatever we found at half time last week again. This is just embarrassing. And love or hate Tomlin, I just wish sometimes (most of the time) that he would shut up. I'd rather hear silence from him than the drivel he spews week in and week out.

No. But if the Jets lose today or vs Buffalo and the Steelers win today or vs Cleveland Steelers are in.

More clearly Steelers have the tiebreaker over the Steelers. Jets need a better overall record.

 

No it's either two Jets losses, two Steeler wins, or a combination of one apiece.

 

Doesn't look like Marcia and the Pats are going to help us out today. Crap.

That being said, it shouldn't matter when you're playing a 4-10 team full of practice squad guys with a QB who was just signed off of the scrap heap last week! This might go down as the most disappointing loss in the last 10 years of Steelers football. Unreal...

 

I feel like we will go no huddle in the second half, shred the rats for some quick scores, and get a key turnover on D.

 

I agree with you, but lets be honest, there are some "fans" around here that at the slightest sign of difficulty are pissing and moaning and acting like the sky is falling. It gets SO old how negative it gets and they do come off as fairweather. Team is playing well they're cheering if they team is playing even remotely poor it's over, this team sticks, worst in the league, etc.

 

I didn't call anyone a fairweather fan because they disagree with me. I called them a fairweather fan because they're throwing in the towel in the first quarter. Or making proclamations about the playoffs during the opponents first possession. It's okay though. I

Wouldn't surprise me if bill is throwing this game to help jets and hurt steelers

They could also get in with any combination of Steeler wins and KC losses that equal 3 or Steeler wins and Bronco losses that equal 3.
