Raiders offense:

14 pts vs San Diego, 321 yds, 5/15 3rd downs
13 pts at Miami, 396 yds, 1/12 3rd downs
34 pts vs Pittsburgh, 321 yds, 7/12 3rd downs

If this doesn't scare the $#!% out of you, I don't know what will. This was yet another epic fail by a Tomlin coached football team, against a lesser oppoent. THIS kind of performance IS "the standard."

 

It is obvious that we are going to play with no heart on the road this year! I hope we can beat Cleveland on the road, I cannot say the same for anyone else.

 

He was a DC for one year.....

 

Maybe the embarrassment will cause him to retire

 

I agree, it is a shame that a team that made his mark in the NFL as a defensive stronghold os now so bad that it cannot step a mediocre offense. This should be even more embarrassing that all those years we had "rotating door" quarterbacks.

I hope these 2 losses are not just for nothing and that there will be hell to pay the following 2 weeks so we can come back strong and bigger or this season is already over.

 

I guess our defense really is too old, Kiesel, Harrison, Troy,, Clark, it is no wonder we are getting beat. We have no speed and just keep breaking down due to age. We are starting to act a lot older than we are.

 

I think you heard him wrong. He said the standard is sub standard.

1. Poor ball security
2. Can't get off the field on third down
3. Can't run the ball
4. Poor clock management
5. Lack of discipline
6. Ben finally has the tools he needs and the rest of the world breaks down

This is a tough time to be a Pittsburgh fan in anything. We've been spoiled (except during baseball season, of course).

 

and the backups are horrible , they kept william gay for years now they are keeping mundy & will allen probably the worst backup combo safeties in the league sylvester another tomlin boy , hood and worilds were bust picks

 

Gay is actually playing very well in what is the best defense in the NFL right now.

Steeler Nation needs not to show up at the airport when they arrive in town in protest, but i know thats impossible to ask.

 

Somebody's got some splainin to do.
Heath and Ben had great games but young money and undisciplined play sunk an otherwise good offensive performance.

Hard to imagine that Harrison and Troy can make a difference with this defense. The D line is less than mediocre, the linebackers worse and the secondary as impressive as our cheerleaders.

I think we should fire the medical staff. How can you expect success when you can only field 2/3 of a team.....last season and this season.

It means you can't realistically look at a one year performance and sit here and say he's a damn good DC! It was one year, how many guys get a good year in and go on to be crap after that?

 

THAT IS A GREAT POINT!!!!!

We are having a chronic problem keeping people healthy. Aside how old is our D getting, the bad D player selection and the same "burned" D plays, keeping people in the field is becoming a big issue. The physical prep team should be audited and corrections should take place urgently.

 

I get them all on Sunday ticket from Direct unless they are on a local channel. No problems.
