Team is done....2 loses to AFC teams. No way they make the playoffs, they have to win the division in order to get in & no way in hell do they do that. Baltimore will win it easily. Get ready for big numbers on our D this year. I see us getting hammered for over 30 points each game. We'll have to score 42 just to win & that'll never happen.

i'm putting the blame squarely on the D, 31 points by the offense should be enough to win the game

ST coverage being crap didn't help but still ... the raiders had a streak of 9 3rd down conversions

 

The Defense is worth TWO points in fantasy football.... TWO!!!!!!!

Agreed Cory 86, but there is still a lot of blame to go around. I just feel we have no heart at times!

 

Even if Lebeau goes...nothing will change since Keith Butler is in waiting....he's got the same mind set as Lebeau so this team is done until they change their ways & realize this isn't the 90's anymore, it's 2012. WAKE UP STEELERS!!!

Dude, you cannot blame Ben on this one. This one is 99% on the Defense, the rest on those stupid fumbles.

I believe Tomlin is not what he thinks he is. Since he got control of team we had won only one SB, and that I still believe was mostly Cowher's legacy. Everybody knows for at least 2 seasons that we have problems in our seconday. It costs 1 SB, it costs us the play-off game against the Broncos and so far is costing us 2 games this season. THIS IS RIDICULOUS> I am losing my confidence in Tomlin. :roll:

Yeah, I'm officially worried. Let the Raiders roll up 34 points on you, Denver picked us apart and the only team we stopped was an inept Jets offense. Better put this bye week to good use. It was supposed to be the offense that took a while to start clicking and turns out the defense totally sucks. There is also no excuse for James Harrison with all of the money devoted to him.... If he knew in the off season that his knee was an issue there is no reason it was no taken care of in the off season!

 

yeah ... in the end it were a few things

- penalties (wiping out that PR TD by Brown, the 1st and forever thanks to holding/false start/whatnot)
- turnover ratio -1, would be nice if our D would remember how to force them, because if not it'll be a long and sucky year
- defense was playing horribly tonight (3rd down conversions ...)
- ST coverage
- offense not showing up in Q4. Yes, they were good/great in Q1 and Q3, but Q2 (3pts) and Q4 (0pts) were where they could have bailed out the defense.

 

We could have easily addressed the secondary by signing La'Ron Landry who was a free agent. He was a hitting machine at times here in DC. Instead we kept Mundy and he was just horrid today!

We have a ton of money tied up in those under-achievers. So much that we can't sign Wallace long term. The D is toast anyway so I say blow it up and start over.

 

I hope the Rooneys are as embarrassed by this defense as we are. 2 losses to Denver in a row, the opener against the Ratbirds last yr, teams running on us at will, its time for another change.

 

Exotic??? I think the word is EXTINCT.
