Same scenario when the Oakland guy leveled Sanders earlier and Fouts was all over his jock saying it was a legal hit (which it was). Not sure why Fouts calls this launching and hitting a defenseless receiver and the other one clean.

The scoring says that it was fumbled at the one and recovered in the endzone for a TD. I am not sure how that translates into a passing TD. I would think that's a fumble recovery for a TD - which would change Ben's passer rating.

 

Exactly what I was thinking too. Let's not forget the assault on Ben's leg earlier either. The fact of the matter is these refs have missed some bad penalties on both sides of the ball.

 

Right now (according to nfl.com) Ben is #1 fantasy QB

 

Because he's Fouts.

i'm pretty sure heyward-bey hit mundy in the head with his facemask. i think there should be a penalty on H-B. God knows we haven't called one on them today.

I understand that the NFL wants to fine guys for helmet to helmet but they need to judge each play and see if it was the intent of the defender. I feel like to many receivers put themselves in harms way and expose themselves to getting hit in the head. I hope he is okay and hope this does not spark OAK anymore than they already are.

 

Hate to see guys leave the field like this, but at least he's responsive.
