'Cause it's like golf: that one-in-twenty shot where you hit the ball flush and it flies almost exactly like you planned. And you see your potential and realize, Yeah, if I could just do that every time! We've seen that our team has that potential.

It's not like the Patriots are invincible. I've seen them lose badly to teams they should beat, but not as frequently as the Steelers do. One instance that blew my mind was back in '10 when the Browns, coached by Mangini, played the Patriots the week before the Patriots vs. Steelers. The Browns soundly beat a Brady-led team with Gronkowski at TE. The next week... the Steelers get the Patriots at Heinz Field and were completely annihilated by the Patriots. Brady had a huge day and was pretty much unstoppable. This with Polamalu, Harrison, Woodley, Farrior, Clark, Taylor, Aaron Smith and Casey Hampton on D.

It's all about matchups. Some teams match up better to the Patriots for some odd reason. Take the Ravens for example. The Ravens have had much more success over the years defeating the Patriots than the Steelers have. Even in years where the Steelers clearly had better teams than the Ravens, the Ravens put up a much better fight and were much more competitive against the Patriots, snagging a few victories here and there.
