It isn't 12 missed field goals. It is 12 total kicks missed, seven field goals and five extra points. Boswell has only tried 18 field goals this season. The team's improved efficiency in the red zone is saving them from Boswell's ineptitude.

I'm actually surprised to find a long-time Steelers fan who hasn't heard of Hillgrove, but you don't live in Pittsburgh. He's been a local broadcaster for decades, including sports anchor on local news and the radio voice for Pitt as well as the Steelers. (I'm not sure if he still does Pitt games.)

I'm guessing you were listening to the Patriots' crew, so that means Scott Zolak, who is an obnoxious and often whiny homer. He played for the Patriots, though he is actually from Monongahela.

I'm in NY. I might be able to get it with Sirus but I almost never listen to games on the radio, I have Sunday Ticket.

Ugh, yes, 12 kicks, not FG's. That should have registered when I typed it. Don't think even the Steelers would hold onto a guy who missed 12 FG's. 7 is still pretty bad.

Only famous announcer out of Pittsburgh I knew of was the great Myron Cope.

You're probably right on who it was, I'm not exaggerating when I say they were noticeably disappointed.

The home game feeds on Sirius are the same played on the Steelers Radio Network, so you'd hear Hargrove, Tunch, Wolf, and Missy Matthews etc.

Somebody mentioned it on one of the other threads. I wish I could hear Zolak's reaction to the end of the game. It must have been priceless.

Ugh. I'd rather just not listen if that was my only option. I can't imagine how many unfair calls he thought the Pats got yesterday.

Here is their call of the end of the loss to the Dolphins. There was sooooo much dead air. I think Zolak was too busy trying not to cry to speak. About two minutes in, he finally starts to do his job, but even then he sounds like a whiny child.

Hillgrove and Cope were one of the best radio teams ever. Loved listening to them.

Incidentally, here in Central PA, for some reason they think we're all Ravens fans. They show Ravens games when they are away. Sheesh. Most people I know here are Eagles fans. I think I know one Raven fan and, somehow, he's actually a nice guy.

I get that a lot when I try to post images, too. Sometimes it works, sometimes it comes up as .

Perhaps one of the board gurus can shed some light on it.

I believe when you post an image it has to be in a url type format and hosted somewhere and not just an upload from your computer

Yep, that's what I thought too - and what I was doing. Still, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't for me.

True, but he still gives them the best chance to win. We saw Dobbs come in and play and be ineffective.

    Here is the image:

Without getting too technical, you can't use a google image search url in image tags, because it can't parse it correctly. Easiest way is to right click on the image, open in new tab, then right click on the image, and paste it in the post reply box here.

Uploading images from your computer is another way and should work just fine.

That's the key, then. I was trying to link directly from the Google URL. Thanks TTF!

I listened to some Zolak today on the radio. It’s true he’s a homer/tool, but he payed it straight today. Says it’s part Brady’s skill slide, part subtracting Amendola, Cooks, Dion Lewis, and replacing with Gordon, Michel, and a bag of Kit Kats. I live 15 minutes from Gillette...today was a great day.

Years ago, I lived in North Attleboro, in a neighborhood where Vinatieri lived, and around the corner from a neighborhood where Bruschi and Seymour (supposedly) lived back when we won SB XL. I loved going for walks through those areas decked out in Steeelers gear that year :dancing:
