well the steelers at one time played on pitts field

so why dont the panthers still play on PITTS field? where did the field go to?

Thats a great question. I read one time that Pitt has their part of Heinz stadium and they share facilities as well

 

yeah becuase that tool todd graham didnt want anything to do with the steelers. he didnt even want the panthers to eat at the caf he would make them bring them their food to a seperate eating place and they didnt even eat at the same time

 

i thought a D1 school had to have their own facility? guess not?? well if PITT had a stadium at one time... and the steelers played in it .. where is it now and why doesnt PITT stull play in it... im not from the burg so i dont know??

Hoke is awesome .. I dont think anytime soon he is going to be picked up as an NBC analyst or anything but its awesome to see him

 

it used to be near west penn hospital and all the other ones so when they moved to three rivers it was torn down for growth

but was it built with county or state money.... like in cincinnati ... paul brown stadium wher the bunglas play was built with county money.. the county built it for the bungals.. but U of Cincinnati is a state school.. so they have no right to use it .. since its a county stadium and they are a state school... but what im asking is ... if PITT had a stadium long ago as some are saying here.. and the steelers played in it for a while.. as some are saying here.. then.. whyyyyyyyy doesnt PITT play in that stadium now? the turf sucks at hines from all the play with the stelers panthers and HS playoffs

ok so the answer is .. it was torn down "for growth" and they built some building on it .. but i mean im looking at that turf tonight and big hunks of it are comin up already.. wait till PITT gets on it on saturday and HS playoffs on fridays ... and the snow.. it seems we have a great team.. great ownership.. the greatest fans in the worldddddddddddddd and the worst groundskeepers in sports?

 

I didnt realize everything pitt did for football first to use numbers first to live broadcast on the radio and desegregated the sugar bowl

 

I love it our players are used to it others arent homefield

 

Yeah over the last 10 years I have been on the Steelers forum and then TTFs forum this has been a topic of discussion and angst . I agree its horrible to watch during the winter months especially.

Not sure anyone has an answer as to why they would want to desecrate Heinz. I would leave it to the Steelers only but there must be a crap load of politics surrounding this issue.

yeah im all for homefield advantages.. but at the risk of a major injury ... im not.. although i dont remember the truf ever really being responsible for a major injury... guess i jsut hate to take S from my bungal fans in cincinnati about our S*&tty turf at hines..
