They were up 10 points and gave up two long touchdown drives by the Jets. Yes, the defense blew the game.

When did Sutton get hurt? Was he out on those last two drives?

Tomlin just said he has a hamstring injury and Fitzpatrick has a knee problem that is also being evaluated.

No... but did Big Ben have a murderous row of games?! Cleveland even then was terrible, Cincy always finds ways to literally "Bungle" and Miami was horrible that season I believe. Kenny will have his work cut for him.

I still do believe in him.

    So no answer then?

If Matt Canada is being referred to here I was already on record in saying he seems in over his head in the second half of the season a year ago.

    :)
You summed it up! I just detailed the specific issues.

I would be willing to bet that most every QB in this league, in the proper situation (playbook, personnel, coaching, etc- that all fit their tools as a QB) would flourish! But non of them can do it all alone.

It’s been going on for years.
That’s the weak spot on the Defense.

Does the Senior Defensive coach see this from upstairs?

We had the ball and the lead with 3 minutes to play until interception #2

I believe He threw 2 tds, and 2 ints that game.....Doesn't mean anything for Kenny, but it does prove that not all is lost.

They never really had a shot in that game. Pickett gave them a shot today.

Again, his only option there was to throw the ball away. That would have made it third-and-15. The Jets were going to get the ball back. At best, maybe the Steelers move it close enough for a field goal and push the lead to six. The defense still couldn't get a stop.

No, he really didn't. The defense giving up two long drives in the fourth quarter cost them the game. Pickett's play was a mixed bag, but he led them on two touchdown drives that turned a four-point deficit into a 10-point lead. The defense then proceeded to collapse and give it away.

I get it. You don't like the kid. Maybe you've been complaining about selecting him all along, so you want to use that interception to justify your complaints. He was one part of a poor effort today, but the defense had plenty of chances to stop the Jets and hold the lead today and couldn't get it done. Those last two drives, they couldn't get any pressure against an offensive line that was down to its fifth left tackle. That is pathetic.

That's when you started to come around, that's when you got it. Make sense? Remember Edmunds? How many examples do you want?

Maybe just wishful thinking on my part but I was thinking he was hoping for a deflection.
