Yeah me too. I was not an Arians fan, but it did seem to go down in a strange manner.

Well we almost accomplished that which is rare for this team in the last few years. Woirlds had a boo boo and Spence had another injury but thankfully so you had reported earlier not on the same knee.

We really looked more like a college or high school team then an NFL team but we do have that.

Lebeau has to go man. His defense has been stale since 2005. Soft middle, defenders cannot tackle. Hang 'me up man. And Tomlin will be gone after next yrs 7-9 season. So ben'scareer wasted on a ****e coach. Awesome

I'm not sure what the asterisks signify but, if you're talking about Tomlin, that ****e coach took Ben to 2 S.B.s winning one. What a waste!

Look, Arians and Haley are good coaches. Arians has surprised me with the success he's had. But no coordinator will look good if there isn't some sort of unifying vision coming from the top that the players are buying into. I remember when Cowher lost his way for a bit in 98-2000, first hiring Ray Sherman and then Kevin Gilbride. Gildride is a good coach, but a wrong fit. Cowher tried to change himself to fit his coordinators. That was a disaster. In 2001, he went back to basics a little bit--brought in Mike Mularkey. This happened in 2003,too. The 2004 season, with Whiz, was a success because Cowher got back to being who he was, and it filtered down to the OC.

I just don't think Tomlin has ever really known what kind of team he wants the Steelers to be, and so it's a mish-mash of conflicting identities, from the D to the O, from the coaches to the players, led by a coach who has no identity (except to talk a big talk like "unleash hell.") and no unifying vision.

I aint buying the DL has to go .. Jpeezy is a coach as well and surely to god he knows how to coach up JJ. Not sure if you noticed or not but rarely did JJ get to the QB or make a tackle. Thats not scheme.. Thats player execution

We don't press because for whatever reason, it's not part of the scheme. Lebeau has tinkered with the press and we usually do pretty damn good with it or at least we have in the past. Hammered New England when they didn't see it coming. Hammered Cleveland a few years back in fast Willies day playing press. It's been done, but for whatever reason seldom used. Maybe he believes we don't have the personnel to do it I don't know, but I'd sure as hell like to see him shake things up especially when we're moving into more of a sub package D.

So in the long in short here in order to try to appease everyone, yes it can be we don't have the tools, or it really could be lack of execution or prep as we see that aspect constantly (or at least feel that way) could be we have a coach with no direction or pulse for or on his team... Or a D coordinator that just don't when to pull the trigger correctly week in and week out, but at least friggin try. If were hell bent on this spread em out no huddle offense that neglects much of a running threat... But gets some good things going time to time, Then let's play a little press coverage and see if we get any knee jerk inspiration out of the good it could bring as well.

Id like to beat my chest with an emphatic "Hell NO" but y'all been watching em like I have for years now... It's just a knack regardless if even in the midst of a successful S.B. Run. We've made a lot of rags look like riches.
