Steelers Vs. Eagles: Week 3 Preseason Game Day Thread

This season is gonna suck for all of the NFL if they keep calling all these phantom penalties. I have seen at least ten penalties called against both team that were not penalties. Thanks goodell for screwing up a great game. I HATE Goodell

 

Yeah and it will remain so until Philly gets the ball again....

 

I'm not sure you understand what some of us are trying to say...it doesn't matter who you have at CB if you are playing 10 yds off the ball. They are giving the QB a easy outlet, so any pressure we may be able to generate is nullified by the fact the QB can just get rid of the ball. IDK what the answer is,all I know is I'm sick of seeing it.

 

I actually left this game at halftime. They seemed to be just going through the motions. No one really seemed to be giving 100% Maybe that's to be expected with this being the preseason. This game reminds me of the London game last year.

DHB can't help it that Al Davis was a moron who overreached for him. That stigma of bust has followed him his whole career. I wish him well.

If flags are thrown at this rate during the regular season, I wont be watching. If I wanted to watch something this slow and broken up, I'd watch baseball. Way to ruin a good sport.

 

This has been happening too often the past few years. Too many games they don't show up for, and too many seasons where they aren't ready to roll until several games in. Not a good look for the HC.

 

Always comes back to the CB cushion. We've said and then backtracked for YEARS! Enough of it. It's time to slam them at the line! If they're gonna flag us to death, might as well give em a reason! Trophies or not, it's time to go... As is the blessed gift of an open middle all day long. Since I can remember we've been suspect up the middle for passing for years. Agggghhhh whatever, pointless in *****ing. Let's see the season unfold already.

 

Yeah I was just thinking today that we really have taken too many "project players" in the last little while. Landry, Rainey, and him come to mind. We need to take no pick for granted with the way we are looking. We have absolutely no depth on d.

 

It was very sad looking. Not sure who is suppose to be coaching him up but it aint working lol

 

I have not been happy with our starting defense at all this preseason. There is talent there its just not showing and never will unless Lebeau brings those damn corners up\. Until that happens offenses will do whatever they want to us and we can even hang our hat on we can stop them from running because we simply can't.

 

Only in an election year.

 

Does this mean we can cut ties with Landry? Grad lookin' sharp out there

 

I will say our NT isn't getting any penetration at all. LB's look pretty good AB Ben and HEATH look just fine. We do need Wheaton to step up and from what I saw he didn't.

 

HAHAHA. That was the funniest thing I have seen tonight.. 4 string QB trips over the white line lol

 

I'm really curious if we don't press because we lack speed and DL isn't comfortable with guys getting a step on us because we probably can't make it up and he is huge on not wanting to give up the big play. When have you ever seen Cortez catch a guy from behind? He is really slow. He has good hands but he's just not that fast. I expect more cushion from him.

 

Imagine the fans from 1933 to 1971 who had to put up with games like this year after year.
