The last Super Bowl winning team to lose any game in a season by 31 points (or more) was the 2003 NE Patriots, who lost their opener 31-0. The last Super Bowl winning team that lost a game and didn't score a TD was the 2010 Packers, who lost a 7-3 game to the Lions.

Safe to say Super Bowl winning teams don't lose games like this very often.

Yea this was a terrible loss but let's try and keep things in perspective here. This is only week 3 and it's an NFC loss that really doesn't come into play with tiebrakers. I expect the Steelers to bounce back the next few weeks at home and beat both KC and the Jets.

It's not "Unstoppable" without Bryant and Bell.

    Before 2003, it happened in 1994. 49ers lost a game 40-8.

It's a joke. They can be great with Bell/Bryant/Green in the lineup, Ben playing smart, and the OL playing sober. I'm not sure the Universe will ever allow that though. Certainly not for a prolonged period time.

It counts if the Pats don't lose games. The Pats are now 1 up on the Steelers and they've probably played their toughest game in Arizona with a backup QB and missing their best receiver. They have trips to Denver and Pittsburgh left and judging by today's game, I'm not sure the Steelers will be all that tough for them. They're likely not losing more than 2 games. Steelers already have 1, so if the Steelers lose to them, any playoff game will be in NE.

    That's why this loss matters.

Haven't won in Eagles stadium since 1965. Don't wanna even see the post game comments, cause theirs no excuse.

Yup. The Steelers talk about a great offense - that was a great offense. Niners averaged over 33 points per game in the other 15 games that year. I might have some hope for the Steelers if they could do that, but I'm not too hopeful. The Niners didn't have a team like the Pats in their conference either (Dallas was next best at 12-4 so the NFC title game was in SF). Pats aren't losing 4 games.

Noooo ! I seen arms around our guys necks and the refs not calling it. That's what I meant, the non calls. Even at that, the Steelers stunk up the place. I can't remember such a bad loss.

No they sucked, but when you let one team just go at it....you get a blowout!

Win the next 3 games against KC,Jets, and Miami and you will go into the pats game 1 game behind them here if they are still undefeated with a chance to win the head to head tiebraker if you best them here. I like the Steelers chances of winning the next 3 weeks and being 5-1 going into the Patriots game. I agree with you they almost have too if win the next 3 or they are going to have problems overtaking the Pats later on in the season.
