Yeah, it perfectly legal as it's part of the play and he's been doing for quite a while now. Just wince when I see it, I've seen players get injured doing that very thing.

 

Even in College, there's no rules about how you can or can't enter the EZ while scoring a TD. It's the celebrating after the TD is scored that's the issue.
