They worked very hard to give that one to the Bengals. They gave up a 24-yard pass to Chase on third-and-21, the tying touchdown to HIggins should hae been intercepted, and failing to get a yard on two plays. The Vikings deserve two losses for that stinker.

By the way, if you didn't see the Higgins play, it was an excellent catch and an even better play to reach the ball over the goal line, but the Minnesota defender had better position on the ball. All he had to do was go after it rather than wait for it to come to him, but he just stood there as Higgins leapt past him for the ball. Then a second defender gave up on the play when he might have had an opportunity to knock the ball loose if he had done his job.

 

None of that matters if the Steelers do what they have to do, which is win today and beat the Bengals at home next week. If they don't get those two, their season is over.

 

What amazes me is my own optimism before every single game!
