I think we all need to admit that we're surprised by how well Jones stepped up today. He played the way a back up needed to, and maybe that's what the coaches hadn't seen up to now.

 

I can't believe how much this game reminds me of some of the games we used to lose with Arians calling the plays.....totally outplay the opposition in first half,not much to show for it and lose to a 3rd string QB............ha I love it!

I have SEEN GOD!!.....And his name IS....LANDRY JONES!! Thank God Michael Vick finally got hurt. I'm serious too. No way no how do we even come close to winning if Tomlin's BOY was allowed to play any further. Not being mean or anything but....given his stats the past 2 games...he really should have been pulled. But, as long as he was healthy...Tomlin would NEVER have pull his Home Boy for Landry. Thank God he had no choice today.

I had that same exact thought. Usually it is the Steelers dominating a game but not putting up the points and letting a team hang around until a back up QB leads an upset over them. Very reminiscent of and bad games from the past.

 

Probably like most of us, he figured Landry wouldn't play well under pressure? I think Landry surprised almost everyone today.

My favorite win of the season thus far! Great game. Said earlier the only adjustment we can make win or lose to get it going would be inserting Landry. Thanks Vick, appreciate the heroics last week, but we finally got to see a man who knows the system deliver. Landry finally ran with the 1's and it was great!

 

I don't know, BFT, I think he's a capable quarterback if he has some weapons to work with. We're judging Landry through the prism of how he's played with scrubs who don't even make the team. I think he could succeed Ben.
