Watched all of this game, but that might be it for me for this preseason.

Ugh. Sept 10 seems a long way away.

The first half was fun, the second typical preseason 2nd half fare. All in all, good game.

Was there some news about Benton or are you just frustrated that he didn't play tonight?

    Fully aware of that.

What I mean is that he is dearly missed. James Pierre ain't it.

    Gotcha..

Unfortunately I don't think the kid will be able to stay healthy to make the team.

I missed most of the first quarter, so I just now saw the opening drive. So much for the idea that they need McFarland in there for the running game to hit a home run. Warren is explosive. He also blew right past Poyer, a damn good starting safety, on that long touchdown.

Looking back at the Pat TD from Pickett.

Once again winning despite the offense design. I don't know what the route concepts were, but relying on a dart thrown to a TE that has 3 guys around him and every other route was covered, is not a sustainable plan.

He's got to come up with better concepts for his route trees.

That was nice even if it was preseason. I was beginning to think the Steelers didn’t have that in the arsenal anymore. Shades of Willie Parker.

The Steelers have to come to their senses on Green. If Cole gets hurt, are they really going to spoil a potentially good season by putting Green at center? With all the good personnel decisions they have made, don't let a poor one bite you in the butt.

I except a new Center on the roster before the next preseason game. Don't disappoint me Khan.

Mason Rudolph had the most interceptions in training camp, while also having the most time in the offensive system.

He should have had 2 passes intercepted tonight, one for a pick 6. He also failed to jump on a fumble on a bad snap.

Everybody that was screaming for Mason Rudolph to be the #2 quarterback after the last game got to see exactly why Mason Rudolph is the #3 quarterback on the team tonight.

I think you're right. He seems to be out of his depth. That one dropped pick should have been six for the Bills. Not sure what you do with him though. He's a good number 3 QB I guess. I would not be surprised to see him cut before training camp is over.

I'm fine with him as the #3 QB. It's just that fans lose their minds about a player because of one performance and because they don't like Trubisky. I think he's an excellent #3, but I said it on the first page of this thread that Rudolph threw the most interceptions in training camp, and he has the most experience in this offense. That isn't a guy that people should be pushing to be the backup QB if they are being honest about his overall track record here. At the very least he needs to put together a lot of good performances in a row in preseason, and tonight he was clearly the worst QB they trotted out there.

I doubt it. They will likely keep three quarterbacks and Morgan sucks.

trubisky’s longest completion was 13 yards. Looks like he was playing very conservatively. That’s Mitch, he’s ok in the short game. But we’ll never be able to hang with anyone decent playing this way.

As far as MR’s ‘near int’s’ I’ll admit I didn’t watch the game. And about not jumping on the fumble didn’t see that either - but I’d think twice about judging in that situation since it’s the 4th quarter of a preseason game.

KP needs to stay healthy. Bottom line. I don’t like our chances of being able to score enough points specially if Mitch comes off the bench.

That you didn't watch the game just tells us you don't really know what happened, so your analysis doesn't mean much. Of course, they are in trouble if they lose Pickett, but Trubisky was solid and Rudolph sucked. You don't need to watch the whole game to realize that.
