Huge game from Mitch tonight. He knows that organization and is out for blood. Time he shows America the true champion he is.

 

Always hope all Steelers do well but I'm in Mason's corner as #2 and Tanner as #3 (just goofing with Tanner unless he somehow dazzles)

Maybe Mitch opens some eyes tonight but as of now he is not my guy.

 

Since short season, teams have less time to evaluate non-starters. Interesting to see who Steelers play and for how long. I read Broderick Jones played most time last week.

 

I understand that everyone has an opinion, but I'm not ready to hand Rudolph anything. He was an interception machine in training camp, and he has the most time in this Steelers offensive system. He should know this better than the other QBs, yet he is throwing it to the defense more than anyone else.

Let's see what happens the rest of the preseason, but you just know that the coaches that watched him every day throwing interceptions aren't going to overreact to some good play in a preseason game. I think he will have to do a lot more to definitively take the #2 spot IMO. This team played ultra conservative with their rookie QB to limit turnovers. I doubt they are going to easily forget that the veteran QB who should know better was turning it over a lot in TC.

I have no rooting interest. Just putting myself in the coach's shoes.

It's preseason, players are evaluated. I remember 4-0 teams in preseason having losing records in the regular season.

 

Win or lose did not matter in the preseason but you want to see your rookie or young player be good...Or our starting offense in the case of the steelers

 

I don't disagree, but winning or losing is not the objective, it's icing on the cake.

 

When did preseason games become must win games?
