I’ll eat my words and say this. Mason played well today. Not enough to win, but well enough to make the game competitive.

Next week, however, I’d give the helmet to Dobbs. The change of pace with him in the game was good to see.

I still see Zach Wilson on the board by then. If not, oh most definitely Trey Lance. Washington will get a good QB no matter who falls to them.


Should they not be able to grab one, Jaylen Waddle from Alabama would work wonders. Him and Terry McClaurin would be quite the duo.

 

Agreed, Alabama may have more 1st rounders in one draft than any college in history, they are just stacked. We really need OL, but TJ, Bush, Moses, with an emerging Highsmith could be a reminder of some great Steeler LB crews.

 

Leatherwood I seriously doubt at this point. He has catapulted into Top 20 territory for me. Samuel Cosmi is questionable to as his athleticism is Top Shelf not just in the class but also for the league. Dylan Moses though is very likely.

Not just the possibility of Dylan Moses though. This Offensive Tackle class is just a tick shy of being as deep as that legendary 2020 Class. Plenty of good options await in Round Two. Jackson Carman from Clemson and hopefully Liam Eichenberg will be available by then. Either or would make me happy.

Keep in mind that being at Alabama has its set of perks; consistently playing in the College Football Playoffs being one of them. Alex's collegiate career and his draft value increases even more due to the nature of the position. Add the position itself with his performance and it would not surprise me if he is selected within the Top 20.

I see roughly 6 qb's taken in the 1st...…. probably an equal amount of wr's….. add in Sewell, Cosmi, a te or 2, and the top level 1st rd defenders and there's a realistic chance that he falls to us by default

You can't risk dressing Dobbs instead of Rudolph for a few Dobbs gadget plays. It would be a luxury the Steelers can't afford.

 

Baker threw for only 196 today against our second string which means he’s still never thrown for 200 yards against us in 5 career games. Tomlin will have them fired up
