Allen rolled his ankle in the game against the Ravens. If it isn't 100% on Sunday that will help tremendously if he is hesitant to take off and run.

I believe it is safe to say that, even assuming the return of Conner and JuJu, Randy Fichtner is the X Factor. Not just any normal X Factor either. His play calling will determine Pittsburgh's fate via playoff seeding.



Hopefully Pittsburgh wins on Sunday. i do believe we can win. That said, Randy is going to be a bigger aspect should we win or lose.

Even with an average defense Randy cannot get out of his own way. What about a top flight one?! Time to find out.

I agree, this game will tell us a little more about his team; especially from an "O" standpoint; both from the coaching and player production. I am starting to build a more consistent confidence in the "New found D". They have to keep it up and even turn it up more. Sorry "D" to add more pressure on you but that is just the way it is given the state of affairs of our average "O".

The "O" obviously depends on execution and creativity which starts with the OC. Fichtner needs to have one of his best game plans implemented and be successful. He needs to earn his paycheck now. And for the 100th time, please get the TEs involved. I have been ranting about this all day here on the board and for well over a month now. What the freak is the problem here with this coaching staff and the TEs disappearing act from the "O"? They have to be involved.

I’m with you Coach Randy is a goof plain and simple. He has now thought it was a good idea 3 weeks in a row to throw this ball late with under 2 minutes left when the other team had either zero or one timeout remaining which has costs the Steelers 40 seconds or so on the clock in each of those games. I think in this game with the Bills he needs to let Duck continue to do his thing and let him make more plays down the field throwing the ball if they are there. I expect Duck to play well again but I just hope Randy doesn’t kill him eventually with his absolutely abysmal playcalling at times.

 

Yea I think the Steelers will be able to keep the Bills offense and Allen in check at home and make enough splash plays much like they did here in the Rams game last month that will be the difference between them winning and losing this game.

Texans and Steelers both finish 10-6 after losing this weekend.

Who gets the #6 seed? Titans win their Division.

I don't really get all the criticism of Fichtner. We can always nitpick individual calls but this offense has been a mash unit with a bunch of rookies and practice squaders at the skill positions and they have mostly avoided killing the team. Maybe he isn't great but he also isn't nearly as bad as a lot of people seem to think or the offense would have already sunk this team.

 

It seems to go with the territory. Fans couldn't wait to get rid of Arians, then Haley and now Fichtner.
