Practice started about 20 minutes ago. First day with pads on, so the fun begins.

3:10 PM- "Workout being staged on the artificial turf field. Lots of rain the past few days in Western Pa. Special teamers on main field by bleachers"

"RBs pounding the sled. Two FBs trying to move it back as far as possible, others spinning off."

Here's where I left off~

"Fun watching a line drill-in terms of pure athleticism, Doug Legursky was no match Alameda Ta'amu. But OL playfully noted how "savvy" DL was"

"For what it's worth, Mendenhall looks limber/fast/healthy running sprints back-forth along back if end zone during practice"

"Highlight of practice was LG Willie Colon's nasty hit on LB Lawrence Timmons in team drills that had several players ready to mix it up."

"Even 2nd-round pick Mike Adams got a few reps with first-team offense at left tackle"

"So-so crowd at best today for first practice open to the public ... perhaps a lot of fans were scared off due to threat of rain"
