I like it! Looks like he can add something to pass defense.

ILB is a huge need. Spillane is not a starting NFL player and Bush is coming off a blown knee. Can’t hurt

Much needed, ILB is a weak spot.

Spillane filled in nicely last year. No need to rip him..

wanna rip someone, rip a draft pick like McFarland.

he's led the NFL in tackles and has been to a pro bowl. Still young too. pretty good addition. him starting next to Bush is a lot better than spillane next to Bush

I didn't think they had the cap room for a guy making $7 million this season, but I like this move.

Agreed. I may be oversold on him but I think he instantly leaps Spillane and will be a great surprise.

I think he lacks a top end (speed power all things really) but can play 2 downs well and 3rd ok.

In short, like it. This does depend on the pick but let's hope for nothing more than a 5th

Jags may retain some of that. My hope is a 4-3 with most being Steelers.

It's a solid book clear for the jags. They don't have that massive hit next year and we have like 74 mil available next year.

I see it as a win win for both.

On the jags page it sucks because when the cap blows up (relative) next year money is going to get tossed so many places. I hope the Steelers don't wait on the tj thing.

Jags definitely retaining some ...... still dont get the hate for Spillane.
He played well in the regular season last season, for the most part for a guy that was unknown.

We need to axe these terrible back up RB's and promote my boy Ballage.

There is no real hate on Spillane. He just isn’t good enough to be a starter in the NFL when opposing OC’d have all week to figure out how to exploit him

he is an excellent ST player and will undoubtedly stay on the roster

My guess is they traded the rights to Pouncey. urban is getting the gang back together.

Exactly it’s not hating him saying he’s not a starting NFL linebacker. He’s a good ST player and depth piece

Always liked Schobert when he played for the Browns. Never heard anything about his time with the Jags. Wonder what Steelers gave up.

Do we even have a 4th and 5th next year to trade? Cannot trade comps as we do not have them yet. Like the move, but don't trade a 3rd for this guy

Is James Washington in uniform, that may clarify at least one player's future
