So much for Tomlin's tremendously inspiring and well placed "unity" speech. That speech was one of the greatest speeches I've heard. It wasn't divisive. It was uplifting, powerful, and unifying. Evoking one person's name isn't unifying, especially when that person was fleeing police from a car involved in a drive-by. I just wish we could try to work towards solution/resolution instead of division.

I remember when athletes were considered role models.

Video footage shows the other passenger did the shooting not Rose, who had no prior record.

He was linked to it, but there's no evidence that I know of that shows he was the shooter. Guns in the car and he was carrying an empty clip, from what I've gathered. He could be innocent. But then why was he fleeing police? Probably won't ever know. But yeah, let's evoke his name because he was shot by police and not the name of the 22-year-old who got shot in the drive-by.

    Keep it civil, guys.

On the up side, they're not all doing individual stuff. They voted on it. They came to a singular agreement.

Yes, this case isn't so cut and dry. But the fact remains that a young life was ended, while not a current threat to the officer. The officer was found not guilty. I cannot argue against that. He was given the benefit of doubt. Something the victim was not. It's very unfortunate all the way around.

It is possible to understand both sides. I don't think I would have made the same choice the team did. But none
of us were part of that conversation.
