How sure are you on this, that the people working on the field are employed by the Steelers and not your "The Sports And Exhibition Authority of Pittsburgh"?

I once spoke to a guy who said his father did the grounds for both Stadiums in Pittsburgh.

I spent time maintaining high school fields and went to a bunch of seminars one of which was sponsored at PNC Park by their grounds manager and the grounds manager for Heinz Field was also there. Two different people.

Interestingly the PNC Park grounds manager actually lived at the park. If you look out at right field you will see a door and a window next to it. That was his apartment. The current grounds manager does not live there.

Here is an interesting article on the Steelers guy

Slow down the amount of "events" at the stadium so the turf, whatever it is, doesn't wear out and has some time to recover.

U of Pitt needs to get their own darn stadium.

Have events there all summer if you want, but come July, that ends and the grass is pampered daily so its ready for the cold n rigors of Sept, Oct, Nov, Dec, Jan.
