WOOOOHOOOOOOOOOO fantastic news.

Another European Steelers fan here. Have been a fan since 96 and have been waiting for this for a while now. I am going all in, I am going to try and get the best tickets I can find regardless of price.

 

Ace news. Will sign up for tickets immediately.

The only problem - as I tihnk I've mentioned before - is that these games tend to be filled with general "NFL" fans, so not quite the atmosphere of a game in the States I would imagine... but still, DEFINITELY aiming to get to this.

 

Well obviously it's not the same as a team's home game...I think the atmosphere will be kick ass though.

On another note Thigpen82 I see you are in Lancaster, are you from there? I am a Lancaster University graduate

Yeah, Im not loving this idea either. Happy for those of you who live there and will get a chance to see your team play though.

 

Ah I see. I would like to see Gettysburg some day and also Hershey as well. My mamaw and papaw went there one time and brought me back some chocolate and I thought that was so cool. But definitely to see a game at Heinz Field is really awesome. It's like about a 9 hour trip for me and we just go up and watch the game and come back the next day.

 

On a personal level: I would love to go to this game. I wonder if the Steelers will have a travel package available: game, flight, hotel, etc.

On a football level: I don't like it, because the game is so early in the season. This means, once again, the Steelers' bye week comes the first week of October. Blah!

 

Actually 8 PM in London is more like 2 or 3 PM our time.

 

This kind of sucks for me too as Minnesota is a fairly short drive from my home... Myself and a few buddies went in '05 and there were thousands of Steelers fans in the dome.

Oh well, happy for the European Steelers fans.

 

Guilty! Born and raised in Greece, went to uni(graduated in 2003) in the UK where I also spent the better part of the last decade. I live in Stockholm, Sweden now.

Went to the NFL game in 2008 as well. That was the crappy Dolphins vs the Giants in a downpour though so not nearly as much fun as this one will be

Thorn... Hope you get to make that trip sometime in the next couple of years.
That sounds awesome, but hard to do on a weekend trip.
Might wanna think about saving up, and spending a week in your hometown.
I know it`s tough moneywise, but if it`s at all possible, to put aside a few bucks a week, for a few years, then take a whole week off, to go back...
It might be worth it, instead of having to feel rushed, and cram everything into 2 or 3 days.
I know... It ain`t easy. Haven`t had a weeklong vacation, in 2 years, and that one was only `cause I irresponsibly maxed out a credit card to do it... before then, it had been about 9 years, but, there is something to be said for having a whole week off, to just relax, and get away, instead of doing the "Mini-Vacation", that you can afford for a couple days... Just sayin.. Hope you get to show your wife and kids where you came from... That`s a big thing.

Word I hear is that they want to move the Jaguars to London. Now that's a bad idea right there.
