    From Mike Tomlin press conference

"Good afternoon. Man, I am excited to announce the signing of Troy Montana as the next offensive line coach of the Pittsburgh Steelers. First, I want to tell you a little bit about the process and how we, as a group, came to this decision.

As many of you know it was my intention to promote C Mo to the position, but when I walked down the hall to his office, I found out he had moved on to Chicago. I'd like to wish him well on all his future endeavors, but as you guys know we are looking for volunteers not hostages.

So myself, Kevin Colbert, and Mr. Rooney set out to leave no stone unturned in our collective search. That exhaustive search led us farther down the hall to Troy's cubicle in the equipment managers office

Troy has been in the building for a number of years now. He knows how we like to do things, and we are certainly comfortable with how he handles himself in day to day activities. He knows how I like my coffee, he knows what time we do lunch. To cut to the chase he does all the routine things routinely and we are very confident in him in that reguard.

Troy has a complete understanding of what it takes to properly hydrate the big men up front and all that it entails. He knows every linemans favorite Gatorade flavor and makes sure it gets to them in a timely fashion.

There are a few instances that come to mind when thinking of Troy being a leader of men. Ramon Foster was a fruit punch guy, but Pouncey grabbed the last one. But Troy didn't flinch when many would. He handed Foster an arctic ice, and the rest is history as it became Ramones favorite.

A few years back we had an issue with AB attacking a Gatorade cooler on the sideline. Troy did not hesitate to get another cooler ready to go and kept the O line hydrated so they could finish the game. Troy smiles in the face of adversity and takes initiative to solve the problem.

We are all excited to see him learn and grow as a leader of men and feel as a collective we are prepared to move forward.

I'll pause now for questions "

For those oldsters from the original board this name conjures up hope and vision for a bright future. I cannot remember his stats. But do recall there was no one close in athletic ability, football knowledge and the overall brilliance he would have brought to the organization. I trust his years of preparation in the football basement of life, while supporting himself anonymously at the local Waffle House have only heightened his desire to take the Steelers to the next level. Bravo Hack for bringing memories of the person who never was. But could have been all that!

Personally I think they should hire Abe Froman, the sausage king of Chicago.
