No one seems to be asking - how big are his hands? Isn't that the only thing that really matters about a QB?

    Yup!
I mentioned this in the draft room but this type of thing is what the Steelers do.

I feel like they don't go into the draft with a hole to fill.

They just need to get a solid guard or center this time in FA. And then fill those holes in

Correct. 9.5" so we're all good there. ;)

Brady's hands are 1/16" smaller so we should expect 8 super bowls with Mitch.

I'm certain he got more than that. Hell, Andy Dalton got $10 million for just the 2021 season.

I wouldn't consider there being another hole outside of ILB and S.

I would even say that ILB isn't a hole right now. We have starters, maybe not starting caliber but they have started.

The next FA will probably be a Edmunds resign or another S.

Anyone know what S are out there with Edmunds?

I brought up Trubisky as a potential Ben replacement in December 2020. It was met with some facepalm emojis as I recall.

With the Chicago Bears pedigree, is this Mike T 2.0? As in Mike Tomczak (not Tomlin). To be fair Mike T threw more INTs than TDs in his career where Mitch T has only thrown more than half as many INTs vs TDs. 64/38 (60%) vs BB 418/211 (50%). Mike T had a few bright moments as a Steeler, hopefully Mitch T can as well.

Love it. Maybe we catch lightning in a bottle for minimal investment.

If not, like I've said before, next years QB could be historic.

This is a good pick up in my opinion. Mitch has been able to show flashes of being a solid qb in a putrid offensive environment of the bears. He's young and got good wheels to escape which he is going to need until the o-line is shored up. Hopefully the coaches can maximize his talent and play to his strengths.

Seems to be just kicking the can down the road. I don't think Tribisky is any better than what's already on the staff.

It may not be Tomczak 2.0, but we may be seeing something similar to post Bradshaw where the team had seven different starting QBs before O’Donnell came on board

Well, its what I said yesterday after the fake Schefter tweet, move on either Trubisky or Mariota. I preferred Mariota but same QB basically.

Have to hope that the Nagy ruined him talk doesn’t turn out like the Gase ruined Darnold talk. And that he was able to iron out his flaws his one season in Buffalo. They had very good things to say about him but that’s par for the course talking up your teammate, unless you are Mason, actually feel a little bad for Rudolph. They’ll say its an open competition but Trubisky will have to be absolutely awful to not be starting this season.

    Positive spin time:

Definitely plays into what they have been speaking of. He was also 25-13 as a starter and 3-0 vs the North. I actually like that last bit, if he could beat our division while on Chicago, that’s a positive.

Biggest downer for me, they probably don’t draft a QB this season. I suppose anything is possible if one of the top guys drops to 20 but I would think they are going to want to see if maybe Trubisky realizes his potential that got him drafted #2 and therefore be their franchise QB. That sounds like the Steelers way.

Been thinking this the whole time with nonstop qb rumors. He should know he sucks so it’s deserved. It’s like someone feeling their entitled to a job because the other retired.

I see Trubisky as transition QB as we look for franchise QB. I`m thinking Haskins is #2 now and Rudolph is a goner. Steeler management probably hoping somebody contacts them about Rudolph. Time for Rudolph to complain, then he will be traded.

Mitch Trubisky is Kent Graham 2.0. With the o-line the way it is we will be no better than 5 wins per season for the foreseeable future.
