I don't really feel like going back and figuring it out but how did a Mitch Trubisky thread turn into who is going to be the starter for the DL?

HeinzMustard was concerned about wasting a 1st round pick on a QB when the run defense was bad.

Probably some black hole in the universe that exerted a gravity on a random thought

Saw one of the dumbest mock drafts from Fantasy Pros. They have Pickett taken by the Steelers at 20 (extremely doubtful). But on top of that the writer says there's no way the Steelers want Rudolph and Trubisky competing for the starting job. Ummm what? As if the rookie would actually start.

Hopefully we can now consider the nit to have been fully, completely and 100% picked.

Pickett could, he’s the most pro ready of them all.

Anyone else the Steelers draft is probably redshirting.

That's possible but I think we can safely say there's a slim chance he falls that far to us. And even if he did, it would be a safe bet that Trubisky still starts.

I don’t think Pickett or Willis will be there at 20, I think all the rest will be. I’m not sure they draft any of those though, maybe Corral.

Wow, You actually doubled down on the foolishness. Did you forget how to use the green font or do you really have your head stuck that far up the wrong end of your anatomy?

The ridiculous part was twisting those comments to mean that Wormley would start ahead of Tuitt. No, he wouldn't. Tuitt is a much better player. It really isn't close. They either don't know or are not ready to disclose if Tuitt is coming back, but if he returns, it isn't to sit on the bench. The only way Wormley would still be starting if Tuitt returns is if they decide to move him back to the nose ahead of Alualu, which seems unlikely.

I saw that one. Pickett isn't falling that far. I don't think he gets past the Panthers at No. 6. If he did fall and Willis was gone, then yes, I could see the Steelers taking him at 20.

Definitely if he fell that far I'd be ecstatic, my focus was more on the ridiculous statement that the Steelers signed Mitch just to be a backup.

    Would you want this

Is he the “Franchise QB” who can take us to the SB and win

Or is he a stopgap giving us enough wins to draft to far down the pack to “potentially” get “the guy”

    Your thoughts

Obviously nobody knows. Many a college QB has played amazing in school but then didn't pan out in the NFL. For me, what he did for Pitt has me biased.

He did it after 7 years in college. He should know a little sumthin., Other Qbs in the draft have produced in less time and are ranked high in draft too

That type is exactly what I don't want, and believe We already have on the team. So why draft another one ???
I mean none are going 2 be a for sure "The Guy"
, but at least try for one with less holes in their game....or We could Be like Green Bay, and SF , Give up draft stock, and then are afraid 2 get rid of the Qbs you already had .....because the ones You got in the draft aren't looking 2 hot.
