He started out like a house of fire but fizzled down the stretch. I could see Canada getting him more involved. Hopefully he’s up to it.

I just saw on FS1 that the Saints have released Emmanual Sanders. No idea if he's someone they'd consider if the price is right to replace Smith-Schuster.

He's an inexpensive utility player. He's a weapon in the return game if we can figure out how to block. He's also got gadget ability for a play or two a game if Canada can channel his inner mad scientist. And he can fill in at RB or WR if called upon. If we can find ways to use his speed properly, he can throw opposing teams a wrinkle or two that they're not prepared for. Happy that he's still here.

I always liked ray ray. He was inconsistent at times but when he was on he did a good job. Can't be all that expensive of a signing

There was some sort of contention with him when he left, but I don't recall the details. You might be right.

He said that Peyton Manning was a better team leader than Ben...

I don't know how many die hard Steelers fans out there would try to argue this statement?

I kinda feel sorry for Derek. His brothers are 120W floodlights and he's a 40W candelabra that you put in a cheap ceiling fan.

I don't remember so much running his mouth as much as saying working with Manning forced him to take notes and improve his play while with Ben it was sandlot make it up as you go

Can't really argue that. Manning was a leader and demanded/expected excellence from those around him. Ben is more in the Tomlin mold. He is a rah-rah guy who would rather congratulate or lift up a teammate than get in their face.

I'd rather have the Manning approach, personally.

I don't feel sorry for anyone who's a millionaire playing a game for a living. Just being an NFL player would be the epitome of an achievement for 99.9% of all of mankind. Its all about perspective and attitude I guess. He's probably glad JJ went to another team so his 40W is less noticeable compared to his floodlight brothers. I sense he is ok with how things are in general.

I didn't say he was drawing a bath and grabbing a toaster. If my brothers and I were doing the same competitive thing and they were far superior to me, it would be frustrating for me. If that happened and money and notoriety were on the line, I would be happy for them, but would feel left out. Once you're there, it's not about being the .1%. You're there. And so are your brothers. They are the 66.6% and you're 33.3%.

I'm not disagreeing with you because I get your perspective on this, and you're not wrong. I'm just looking at it differently. :drinks:

Glad Ray Ray is back but he needs to be more consistent, he was brilliant for a while but I didn’t trust him in the return game by the end of the season.

Derek Watt is lucky to be kept around, absolutely has to contribute more on offence for the money he is on. He is a good special teams player in fairness

Fair point, you would have to ask why on earth they signed him given the lack of snaps on offence.

exactly. I guess according to the steelers coaching staff he went from a great fullback to the doghouse in one season. I have no clue why they bothered to sign him yet again.

Is it just me, or does that guy's singing sound like a cat being sawed in half?
    Good deal on Ray-Ray!
