When was the last time it was? It's been in the rear view. Maybe Porter Jr will be the start of a turnaround but they are still behind the 8 Ball. But Porter Jr isn't ready yet  When the pass rush is not having a big play day who do you trust with this current batch? Confidence = zero. Tomlins wonderful secondary scheme isn't helping either.

I liked him as a late round prospect.

Yeah I was looking forward to seeing how he would do. I hope he comes back and dominates but even so they can’t count on him do to his injury history. If he contributes it will be a bonus.

I don’t get it. He has Minkah playing in the slot half the time. No wonder we aren’t seeing plays on the back end. We need to upgrade at as as well.

Yeah but based on how little they play Porter I doubt Truce would have seen the field much.

When this news came over my phone, for an instant I thought it said “Steelers Sign Bush”. I about fainted. Did that happen to anyone else?
Anyway, welcome to day 1 of the Darius Rush era of Steeler football. Yawn.

@S.T.D@S.T.D was probably a fan, but he is a fan of any player that has CB attached to his name.

Well, that's like saying a sommelier likes any old wine. Only the finest of wines make S.T.D's CB room. ;)

Fans are overrating King at this point in his career, he's not a starter and was signed to play slot CB.

I guess forgot about the CB room we had with Haden, Nelson, Sutton, and Hilton, it wasn't that long ago .

Not much right now. Lets look back after more than 5, or 6 games of His rookie season.

    Noted.

I thought Joe was a solid signing, Nelson meh, Sutton as I mentioned and Hilton they let go. The scheme and development of home grown talent is less then stellar except for Sutton. The other 3 were all free agents we signed. So they trot out Mummy Peterson and Wilted Wallace both free agent signings. A rookie that's waiting for a starting shot and get him in there now but no, Puppet Austin says he isn't ready. Sorry bro its the scheme that's killing this, Tomlins. Been for years. Couple that with bodies and you get what you get. They have lost good players either free agent pick ups or the accidental homegrown talent and its been a miss to replace them.

So who do you trust in the corner room now?

trice is a good story and all for next year but i hope they are not waiting on him for next year as the next coming because he just can't stay healthy. riley and kazee might be our best hopes right now. rush was a fill in for scott being poached off the PS. they still haven't replaced king on the 53 yet. they are looking.

    they better keep looking.

Again. Just My opinion, but I think they are handling JPJ perfectly. I also believe that is why He is looking so good. I don't believe if they threw Him out there game one as a starter He would be looking as good as he has. Again. Troy P wasn't forced into the starting role either.

And there were times he looked lost out there in that part-time year, too.

I'm less upset with the slow mix they're doing with JPJ than I am with Peterson and Wallace's performance this year. I preferred they keep Sutton, but thought Peterson had something left in the tank. And while Wallace was never that good, I don't remember him being this bad either.

"Belton Delton" left a lot to be desired in coverage skills which is why he didn't last long. Everett was decent. I wouldn't mind another Rod Woodson!

Everett was better than decent. He was a quality starter. Hall, not so much.
