Steelers should sign Aldon Smith

Someone should have told him he'd Better Call Saul.

 

They must have flipped a coin between him and Ray Rice because the other day there was a story out there that Pettine said the clowns have considered signing Rice. Oh PLEASE let that happen! Can you imagine the circus (no pun intended) that would cause?! Johhny Football's drunkeness AND Ray Rice's stupidiy! A guy can dream I guess. Man I'm glad we have the Rooney's.

 

As far as Aldon smith goes, I believe he is the best LB in the league, he is that good. He is probably the best player in the league, he is that good.
He is probably the best "playmaker" in the league, he is that good.

His "crimes" or incidents just don't seem to be that scary, and sometimes you just have t understand the kind of guy he is, and direct his energy to the weight room and practice field.

I would sign Aldon Smith in a Pittburgh Second. Best Player Available.

I know I will get flamed like heck for saying this but we shouldve signed Ray Rice last year. If we had, we wouldve beaten the Ravens in the playoffs. No doubt in my mind.

As far as Smith, I would roll the dice on him if he was cheap enough.

 

Aldon Smith is a lot better than our OLBs right now. Granted, he has horrible character, but it is worth giving a chance on Smith only if he is cheap enough.

About Ray Rice: Ben Tate/Josh Harris (whatever his name was I'm not certain if I am right) were horrible backups. If we had kept Blount or signed Rice, we would have beat Baltimore and maybe Denver (we would have faced Denver had we beat the Ratbirds).

 

We need players we can depend on when playoff time rolls around. Aldon Smith can not be relied on.

Blount walked out on the team because he didn't like his role, they did the right thing by cutting him. And Ray Rice wasn't any good his last season in Baltimore so he wasn't the answer either.

 

Rice would have been better than Josh Harris/Ben Tate though.

 

Im just happy you know how absurd your thought was. I would love the talent but the steelers are trying to established their standard again.

 

And we all know that the standard is the standard.....obviously.
