Even if he fears getting hurt without a contract, he should come in and just watch and get some mental reps. Castro is in there and he doesn't have a contract yet. Might be different for rookies though.

 

i hope he does soon, because sanders sat out todays camp with knee trouble now. not a good sign. we will be pretty mediocre without these two.

Not a lot, no. I saw a few things about him from Wex throughout the OTAs, but that's really about it.

Well Rooney if you paid the man he would be here.

 

they won't cut the throat of the rest of the team for one guy. the players agreed to the rules in place. he has a tender as his offer right now. i'm sure they offered a decent amount. i'd say less then the franchise tag would have been but more than the high tender. he's got to be a team guy too, but so do they. he's behind now that the camps are over.

 

It's amazing the hate on Wallace on this steelers message board. Wallace gets rated by the players as one of the top 50 players in the NFL, but come on this steelers message board and you won't find one thread made to give him props. Rooney mentions he thinks Wallace should "be here" ( I think me was talking about training camp anyway) and there's immediately a thread calling Wallace a punk, diva, jerk or pouting. We all have the benefit of asking for raises in private, Wallace has to do it in the public eye and for some reason steeler fans dont understand this. It's just amazing to see him not get any props or understanding from the very fans he's performed so well for.

I think the Steelers should drop the tender to the minimum on Friday as they are entitled to do. It should be obvious at this point to Wallace that if he wants the Fitz payday, he's going to have to get in camp and prove that he can take his game to the next level and sustain it.

 

He gets paid very well from the fans too. It's YOUR money paying the man!

 

How is Sanders hurt? He JUST said he's 100% healthy and everyone needs to shut up about his injuries. Did he get hurt since then, or was he lying and it's something old?

Let's be fair. It hasn't happened on this thread, and the front page of the board doesn't have any. But a month or so ago, there were a lot of posts saying things like this. A few posters rather than most. But you can't say those things have never been said about Wallace on here.

 

there is a quote about it on the mini camp thread, about day two. it said he and harrison sat out the morning session with knee's. i'm not sure about the afternoon session.
