When the Steelers get to the red zone, they pull Big Ben and put in Dobbs. He can either pass or run for the TD. Hell, his presence may even open the running game. Big Ben is choking in the red zone. Let Ben get them to the red zone and yank him.

Ben can throw an INT as easily as Dobbs. If Dobbs is on the field, we're in trouble. Period. I think the Red Zone issue is over blown. Yes it's an issue, but a few dropped passes are caught, and it's not even a discussion.

Ah, the Buddy Ryan school of offensive coaching when he had Randall Cunningham as a rookie.

What's Refrigerator Perry doing these days? Maybe we can coax him out of retirement for goal line and short yardage situations!

Good Ideal. Everytime Watson plays the announcers credit his ability to run as to why they are so good in the Redzone .His stats go from 59 % completion at the 20 all the way to 82% at the 10 . Every announcer says because as the field gets shorter when the Defense can't play 11 on 10 it is very hard to stop.

Here is more info he could provide a similar threat .https://www.seccountry.com/tennessee/tennessee-football-josh-dobbs-nfl-combine

Ben is at 42% completion rate playing 10 on 11 . Dobbs threat as a Athlete would allow us to play 11 on 11 . It is logical that would help him complete balls just like Watson. Even if he only completed 50% and ran 1 in every once and awhile how many more points could that result in ?

It's not like Dobbs would have to play like a God just average Football and the stats say we should be better .

Pull Ben to put in a rookie with zero NFL experience. Now, I would pay money to see that hissy fit out of Ben.

Oh wait, I already do pay money to see that.

As I stated in the other thread. They pulled him for a washed up Vick and Ben was playing much better at the time . Now Ben is talking like he is not coming back and he is not playing well . I would simply show him this.http://www.rotowire.com/football/player.htm?id=3764 .

Explain his play is more like his Rookie year than any other . Then I would show him this.https://www.teamrankings.com/nfl/stat/red-zone-scoring-pct

Almost at the bottom of the NFL and we have a young QB who is more Athletic than Watson so we are going to run some packages like Houston does in an effort to spread the Defense and score the ball more.

Come on! Wake up and smell the coffee! Overblown? The only thing overblown are the windbags who don't look at the stats. There are 32 teams in the NFL and the Steelers have EARNED being ranked #30 in the Red Zone. They score a TD 41% of the time. Hell, Indy is better by 2% points. It is getting worse since in the last three games they scored a TD 27% of the time. These are facts not your misguide opinions. By the way the Steelers seriously suck in the Red Zone at home - 23%! Consider this, the 5 of the next 8 games are at home. Yeah, Dobbs can throw an intercept just like Ben but so can anyone else. What Dobbs can use are his legs for a TD and Ben cannot do that. Let Ben get them to the Red Zone like a starting pitcher and then go to the bullpen for a reliever and a TD.

Buddy didn't have the Steelers O-line or receivers or Bell.

You are a blithering .....! I guess the Cowboys should have never started Dak Prescott. Houston start an experienced NFL QB then turned to Deshan Watson. How did that work out?
