yes, but making progress. WR's are average. Pickens a ROOK and 18 sucks. Need a veteran next year.

and Pickett afraid of throwing it, throwing INT's - which is not horrible. Game SPEEDS up and field gets SMALL in the RZ

 

Idk if Pickett is afraid as he does not call the plays. It's the scheme and receivers getting open. Not the he is without blame..accuracy to Muth should have netted a TD, but overall the lack of consistent calls and prep are as much to blame.

 

That's true, but allowing teams to get back in is the reality in today's NFL. You have to score TDs. We won...good, but we also saw way to many WRs open in middle of the field and a better QB would have hit them. Look what Brady did in the last 4 min Monday night. You just can't play turtle in today's league and expect great success. This is not a complaint as much as a critique..the team is improving, but this game should not have been this close.

 

They need to make more big plays, but the long drives are also a positive. Controlling the clock helps the defense, and lately, they really need the help.
