It wasn't special teams. It was on the crappy pass Dobbs threw to Blake. Who, BTW doesn't wear black and gold. Quit while you're ahead.

Whatever bro. Keep telling yourself the delusional story about how great Dobbs is. This is some funny shat!!!

Can't blame Dobbs for that. Can't lead with the helmet.

I didn't blame Dobbs for that injury. I was pointing out that Juju didn't get hurt on special teams like you insisted. He got hurt on the INT by Dobbs which was a heinously bad throw. Try to keep up.

Can't blame Dobbs directly, no, but of he doesn't throw the pick, Ju Ju doesn't get hurt. This is a thread about Dobbs, kept alive by all the wishful thinkers who thought Dobbs was a great pick in the 4th, that there was going to be a competition for the back up QB position, and think it makes a difference who the back up is.

Write 24/7, they have their story wrong.

That could have been a pick thrown by Ben, still doesn't matter. Ju Ju just learned the hard way that you don't dive and lead with your helmet.

Could have been, but it wasn't. It was a lousy throw by a guy who never had to read a defense or go through progressions in college, just like Landry Jones. Dumb draft pick in 2013, and dumb draft pick in 2017. Why would a team select a QB in the draft that plays in a system that doesn't allow for an evaluation of basic quarterback skills? Mind-numbing. They could have picked any number of position guys that could contribute this year. Dobbs won't even dress for a game, barring injury. His ceiling is being the back up in 2019.

Terry Bradshaw threw 6 TD's and 24 INT's his rookie season, was sacked 25 times and had a 30.4 rating. In his own words, he didn't know a zone defense from a zip code. I'm not saying Dobbs will ever be good but it's too early to tell.

The Steelers, and the NFL in general, are light years from 1970. NFL quarterbacks, for the most part, are not developed from the bench. Starters are picked near the top of the draft, inserted immediately, and sink or swim. The days of Aaron Rodgers following in the footsteps of Brett Favre are over. Beyond this, Dobbs wasn't drafted to compete for the backup job. The Steelers said as much.

Peyton Manning had very similar preseason numbers like Dobbs including two picks. He also had 28 picks his rookie year. It takes time for it all to come together.

I am not always a fan of the, 'sink or swim' approach. The Steelers have drafted one QB (Ben) since 1980 so it'll be interesting how they will handle Ben's exit and beyond.

Yea Blast. Had to put my Jack & coke down to make sure I read that correctly myself. I guess Dobbs must have pulled a Nancy Kerrigan on Bens ankle so be could play also. Smh

Hate I missed the game thread. Looks like knowledgable football folk over there. Will be in there next game.:rawk:

LOL, you idiots getting on a mid round QB draft pick in his first preseason game and actually arguing if he is the next franchise guy. Wow. I really appreciate the zealousness but damn, let the guy settle in some. If anyone on here thinks LJ or Dobbs is the next guy up, then I feel sorry for you because they are not..After Big Ben retires, there will be a void and neither of those guys will be the incumbent. That guy is yet to be on the roster...

If Bryant would have not baked one last year, Juju would not have been drafted and he would not have gotten this concussion..

Or maybe actually watch the play and get your facts straight before calling someone out on an internet MB. Just sayin.

And what do parties have to do with anything? Maybe there's a party in your mouth and everybody's coming.
