I guess it's just too soon for me still, because I just don't find this funny. This loss to Denver hurt bad

I think we have all been kind of cranky this year, off and on anyway. :hmmm:

This one didn't hurt so much. This old, banged up team went about as far as it was going to go.

Most devastating losses I have experienced:

    1. 1994 AFC Championship Game vs San Diego
    2. 1980 Week 14 at Houston
    3. 1982 First-round playoff vs San Diego
    4. 1976 AFC Championship Game at Oakland
    5. 2001 AFC Championship Game vs New England
    6. 1996 Divisional Playoff at New England
    7. Super Bowl XXX vs Dallas
    8. 1990 Week 17 at Houston
    9. 2002 AFC Divisional Playoff vs Tennessee
    10. Super Bowl XLV vs Green Bay

This is a pretty good list, and certainly I see #1 on the list as also the worst loss I've experienced as a Steelers fan. I'd throw some others on there ahead of some of yours- your #2 was bad, but merely showed what was inevitable for that team and era. I'd put the 1997 AFC title game loss to Denver and the 2004-05 AFC championship up on there too.

Gotta tell you though, the 2nd Ravens game this year was the worst of the season, even more so than last weekend's game. And the worst regular season loss for me-
1976's opening game loss to the Raiders. Steelers had a 28-14 lead, and were deep in Oakland territory half way through the 4th quarter driving for another score. A fumble, partially blocked punt, and interception later, and they lost a devastating 31-28 game. Still hurts 35 years later.

OK, enough of this. Onward and upward.
This one was bad - reminded me of the 2007 loss to Jacksonville.

The worst part of this whole season for me was that we were just a couple of plays short of being a very dominant team. I hate losses that the Steelers have when they have the edge statistically and if I'm not mistaken, that was the case against Houston, Game #2 against Baltimore and San Francisco. Those kinds of games bug me more than when we just get it handed to us.

Yes.A blow out is a blowout,But If you win the game on paper(stats)that's frustrating as hell.

He's a couple years out of HS... his age really doesn't give him a free pass in my book (this is coming from someone who is almost the same age as him).

Yikes dude, you've had a hard life if losses from 35 years ago still sting. Pick yourself up man, and move on! Life's too short!! :good:
