Joey Porter Jr told the media he's up to 205lbs. Now if they can just get some contributions from Rush and Trice.

I bet a guy like him with his built will fluctuate 15 pound either way, and be different from one weigh-in to the next.

Which one is Fields? I didn't see any fumbles... was he practicing? Expecting to see nothing but fumbles from him.

Patrick Queen on getting acclimated. Najee was the one yelling "we are glad to have him'

Well, Wilson is 5'11 and Fields is 6'3 it shouldn't be that hard to tell them apart .

if I don’t know their jersey numbers, I definitely don’t know their body dimensions.

I don't see anyone near Trice. Is he on the sideline by himself?

I wonder if they are going to make him wait all the way to training camp before being allowed to compete with the offense.

Helpful tip-do not read anything into what you see/hear/read about OTA’s. It’s football in shorts

I read somewhere where Daniels from LSU improved his vision and field recognition by using some VR technology that LSU developed. The rumor was some NFL QB’s were going down to LSU to start using this technology to improve their read and react and recognition skills. If this is true I would be sending Fields down there if I were the Steelers.

Its hard to derive any conclusions from OTA’s but it is certainly nice to hear about Arthur Smith’s offense and the how he spends more time going over the details of each play with the players. It sounds like their is more cohesion and understanding there than what we had last year. Then again its always positivity this time of year.

Exactly. This is the problem with Uber talented players....especially with Qbs.....because they never r had to rely on that part before, but in the NFL....You must...., and anything that can help....they should do.

They have showed no competitive work, except for players holding bags. Either they aren’t allowing the media to show it or to avoid running afoul of the NFL rules against live contact. I assume they will wait until minicamp.

    • No pads except protective knee and elbow pads, helmets are permitted
    • No live contact
    • 7 on 7, 9 on 7 and 11 on 11 drills will be permitted provided no live contact takes place

No, I am just commenting on the Offense vs Defense drills that you mentioned: 7 on 7, 9 on 7 and 11 on 11 drills will be permitted provided no live contact takes place

To me "Competetive Work" is Offense vs Defense, even if it is in shorts.

Exactly, at the end of the Day, Cory Trice is a 7th round draft pick that has never played a snap in the NFL. Rush and Bishop may be moving passed Trice on the battle to make the 53 man roster.

Right now, it is foolish for people to be talking about Trice being the starting CB along with JPJ this year.
