Screw the West coast and their gender challenge difficulties. I have a fairly difficult job and don't feel like doing it on 4 hours sleep. If all I had to do was Hall Monitor all day then it wouldn't be a big deal. I see no reason these night games can't start at 7:40 pm at the latest.

 

Take a vacation day. And have a Snickers

This is why I dread Mason being our QB going forward. All he had to do was beat the Lions who was winless at the time. Now we’re relying on the hapless Jaguars to bail us out

I regularly took vacation days the day after home night games. Fortunately I had a lot of vacation days.

 

Hey I’m in the West Coast and we have our problems too. You know how hard it is to start slamming beers at 10:30 on a Sunday morning because once again the Steelers can’t score in the 1st quarter

 

The Steelers would still be relying on a bad team to help them out. The Colts are 7-4 against AFC teams. The Steelers are 6-5. Even if the Steelers had beaten the Lions, the Colts would still only need to beat the Jaguars to knock the Steelers out of the playoffs because Indy would own the tiebreaker. The only team they would have a tiebreaker against would be the Bills, who play the Jets Sunday.

 

Something similar actually happened in the 1982 World Cup between West Germany and Austria (in a match known as the Disgrace of Gijon). The game needed to finish 1-0 for both teams to progress from the group stage to the knockout round. West Germany scored early, then both teams just stood about for the rest of the match.

It’s why all the final games of the group stage are played at the same time now.
