I want to make this my sig.

    My Rushmore would have:
    Mike Webster
    Brett Keisel
    Antonio Brown
    Greg Lloyd

Though one could argue for some shuffling for others... Not quite our football gods, but all players picked in the 5th/6th/7th rounds who proceeded to tear the NFL up. That shows something of the Steeler spirit to me.

I realise my Mt Rushmore might not be as well visited as some of the others... mine is more like that dude who's carving out an Indian on the other side of the valley...

In reading this post I realize how lucky I am to be a Steeler fan. We are arguing over who to put on as our top 4. We have probably 10 guys or more to choose from to make a top 4. How many organizations would be lucky to have 4 legit people to put on their Mt. Rushmore. They might be able to come up with 4 but not with the history and bling our group has... :)

I like this one. Represents 4 major areas: Front Office, Coaching Staff, Defense, Offense

    The Chief
Dan - remember, we weren't good till he started running the team
    Joe
Lambert - maybe on Hall of Fame acceptance speech alone

My goodness, someone misspelled Noll here, will it ever end?

I admit, it was a toss up between Antonio Brown and Joey Clinkscales for a moment.

Looks like according to the board it'd be Joe Greene, Art Rooney, Chuck Noll, and Terry Bradshaw (narrowly beating out Lambert).

I edited the first post if you wanna see the numbers.

    It`s impossible!
I agree, we need Mount Olympus!
There is just NO way to pick the four most important people involved with this organization!
Obviously, The Chief would have to be #1, for founding it, and instilling the qualities in his family, to let this team remain in such capable hands for it`s entire history.
No way could you leave Noll off, for leading this team out of the darkness, and establishing the identity we had, that led us to our first four Superbowls.
That only leaves 2 spots for players...
    Just freaking impossible!
For me, personally, Lambert would HAVE to be on there. He personified the whole intimidating attitude, that made our defense the most feared in the league. (although he couldn`t have done it single-handedly. probably 80% of the players who played with him, ESPECIALLY in the 70`s are deserving of a spot as well.)
And that doesn`t even take into account the Greg Lloyds`, etc, that have maintained our defensive identity, since Jack`s been gone.
So, we got one spot left, and fairness would have to dictate it goes to ONE offensive player...
I gotta go with Terry, just because he was there to begin our dynasty, and QB is such a crucial position.
Again, when realizing that I am leaving off Franco, Rocky Blier, Swann, Webster, The Bus, Hines, Heath, etc, etc, etc,...
    It`s just not right!
And I like the previous mention of Myron Cope....
He might not have actually contributed anything to the play on the field, but hearing his enthusiasm when broadcasting the games was pricelesss, and it just seems there should have to be a spot for the man who gave the Steeler Nation our Terrible Towel!
    :herewego!:
Maybe a better idea would be a version of the painting, "The Last Supper", with Art Sr, as Jesus in the middle and twelve disciples being coaches and players flanking him on each side...
And yet... We would STILL be leaving out worthy players/coaches etc...
    What a franchise!
P.S., who would be in Judas`s spot? O`donnell? LOL...
    GO STEELERS!

Great post, Bleed. I'm right there with ya...it's too hard to choose just four, and it feels just wrong to not have Jack's toothless grin on there.

As to who's Judas- I think if you took a poll of a thousand Steelers fans today, the majority would vote Mike Wallace. I could be wrong of course. :hmmm:

Nope, I'm with Bleed, has to be NO. Tried and true all season, rarely makes mistakes and then 2 inexplicable interceptions, just makes you wonder if he betrayed the Chief :lolol:

Oh, I'm right there with you guys. I just figure the overwhelming recent animosity towards Wallace would sway a poll today.

    Joe Greene
Terry Bradshaw - you could lose with him, but you couldn't win without him!
    Chuck Noll
    Ben Roethelisberger

Wow...This is so tough!! I have to pick 4 faces to represent The STEELERS till the end of time. Ok here goes.

My first thought was The Chief...Cant go with him.As much as I love and respect him he did nothing from 1933 to 1969. SO hard to leave him off!! But I must.

My first choice is Coach Noll. He was not even Mr. Rooneys first choice. Another strike against Mr Rooney.

My second choice...#75....The pick that started it all. IF Noll is not our coach I do not believe we pick this kid from North Texas State U.

My third choice....#12....The Blonde Bomber....Noll took him first overall in 1970 after taking Hanratty in round 2 in 1969.Think he saw something?

My forth choice.....The toughest!!....WOW...Gotta go with #32...Noll chose him in 1972 1st round when EVERYONE though he would take Lydell Mitchell. Another great pick Coach!! Thats why you Coach Noll are the first face on the left!!!

Thats "My" MT. Rushmore.....As always...open for debate.

I'm sure there would be quite a few! Wallace is only slightly less polarizing then BA

No doubt. Imagine this scenario: BA gets fired from the Cards after next season. At the same time, Philbin gets canned from the Dolphins. BA gets hired there, and he and Wallace get frequent ESPN airtime giving one line jabs at the Steelers.
