Steelers Message Board Mock?

    We've had some great mock drafts over the past few years dating back to the old Steelers' message board. I was wondering if anyone has the time and inclination to take the reins as the commish for a 2014 edition. Just to be clear, I'd love to run it, but I know that I don't have nearly enough free time to do anything other than a disservice to the position. However, if someone wants to run with it, I will jump on board as a participant and help out in any way that I can with my schedule.

    What do you say gpguy? You got it in you again?

    Hopefully gp will keep it going. I definitely have more time this year so I would also be willing to help out to make sure things move along. With the draft being pushed back to May that gives us a little more time too. I believe we usually start it up following the Combine sometime in March.

    I am definitely in full draft mode right now. Don't forget the East-West Shrine Game is on at 4 ET!

    I really wish I had time to run the mock, but there's no way that I could do the commissioner position justice. I guess an approach could be for 2-3 of us to be co-commissioners, and if something popped up in terms of rule interpretation whichever one of us saw it first could deal with the situation.

    I have arrived (to this post)!

    Normally we don't get started until after the combine/etc (combine end of Feb)...last year the official announcement wasn't done until Feb 24th...and didnt get underway until March 10th. Keep in mind the Draft isnt until May 8th this year.

    So you're probably looking at another month at least before anything is announced. I will probably have some back up/help like I did at times last year too in case I can't be around/etc.

    So yeah...haha. I think that answers everything.

    :facepalm: every year we go as far as we can...well...as long as we still have enough people participating we will continue. One year I think we got to round 6 or so...others earlier...it just depends. Usually we can get through the first 4 rounds without a problem...after that...eh.

    Yes. Last year was the first time I did that message board draft and loved it. I have been looking for any info on when this years will be.
    I would like to get a team with more than 5 draft picks this year though (stupid Carolina) You did do a great job running it though GP.

    Agree with everyone else. Great job the last two years gp. Although I want to stay away from Philly this year. Had them the last two.

    I was thinking perhaps we could start the sign-up thread in the near future and leave it open for quite a while before we get started. That will give people a while to research their team(s), and decrease the amount of people having to take more than one team. Thoughts?

    I didn't even realize that last year's draft were stickies. I was looking over the results and I couldn't even remember what team I was. It musta been a long year! :facepalm:

    I in the past didn't participate for various reasons. This year I'd like to. I will take whatever team you guys want me to and I'll take a multi # of teams if needed. I'll do my research to make my picks as realistic as possible. I look forward to seeing the final results.
