That all changes Sunday when the Steelers show us a glimpse of what an offense can do.

A TD is a TD. What difference does it make if its a kickoff return or a 1 yd sneak?

Sure, if we were scoring a lot of TD’s, but we’re not. Pretty sure we’re 2nd last in points for.

Not to mention, it shows a trend of how anemic the offense is and defenses can just focus on the short routes without any real fear of being beat over the top.

And to throw some extra salt in the wound…. I think we all know where Buffalo got their 98 yard TD.

I can think of a QB who's done pretty well for himself "dinking and dunking" the ball down the field. Mostly short routes. Relying on yac.
Seems to me, the problem is not scoring short yardage TDs, It's the defense not stopping the other guys from scoring.
As I said, most of Brady's passes would be considered short where guys like Rodgers throw long a lot. Who's been more successful? Again, 6 points is 6 points. If everything were clicking, I'd rather have the 2-3 yard TDs. That would mean we've probably moved 75 yards to get that TD and used up a lot of clock. Anyone remember a game against the Chargers where we had the ball for almost the entire 3rd quarter? You rather a 75 yard TD pass and give the ball right back to your opponent?

Also, I'm pretty sure we don't have a 20 yard rush yet.

I’d rather we score. Period. We’re averaging what? 14-15 points a game? I don’t really care how it gets done, just score.

If you don’t think that stat is at all telling or has any correlation with our putrid offense, so be it.

Wow, this is pathetic. Tomlin knows it's bad, obviously. But will he live in his fears or wait until December to unleash hell?

Do you remember that time when Jerome Bettis had more TDs than he did yards? Or close to it anyway.

That's what I'm saying. 8 yards? 80 yards? Who cares as long as it results in 6. Everyone knows that, so far, this offense isn't getting the job done. Making fun of the length of the longest TD so far, is just a weak excuse to start another "_____ sucks!" thread.

Actually the Steelers longest TD of the season was Minkah's 31 yard pick six of Burrow in game one.

If this holds, and I hope that it doesn't, would this be an all-time record? This was a little shocking to read and I'd be highly surprised that we don't overcome this after the bye. But just wondering what the record is since it looks like someone somewhere is tracking this? Of course, it really doesn't matter at this point. JMO>

I would take 75yard TDs over 1 yard TDs any given Sunday.

Being able to get *huge* chunks of yards per play is always better than not being able to get *huge* chunks of yards per play.

Also, don't use the Tom Brady/Belichek as a metric... we ain't got Tom Brady or Belichek.

Yes ,and everyone on the old board was complaining about it.
It went something like this......so, and so gets them down there, and the Bus does the easy work, and scores....LoL...Bill Cowher must have Jerome on His Fantasy Football team...LoL....Just proves Steelers fans find something always to complain about.
