Steelers listening on trade options for Bell

And do me a favor and apply for one of these nfl TV jobs or nfl scouting jobs and see if you get it since your opinion holds more weight than hall of fame players and you feel you have credibility to critique their intellect about the game of football.

 

How many hof'ers have had success at NFL scouting jobs or GMs?

How many have tried to scout and be gms? I think the greatest player to ever be a gm is probably elway. Did montana, rice, lt, peyton(though he does some consulting), deion, etc.. try to be scouts or gms? And nfl TV jobs? Many and plenty. They are the majority on TV as analysts over people who didnt play. Coaches as well. I'm simply asking what credentials does he and or anyone on here have to question their knowledge AND try to challenge their integrity. At least if you talk about non players who are coaches, analysts, gms, they have their jobs as well as any success on their resume. Not the know it all's on this board. Nice try though.

Let's just say every retired athlete is not cut out to critic & analyze their profession. Granted there are a few gems but most are just making noise.

 

Moat are not on TV or analyzing the game on a regular so...

 

Yep. Someone is going to pull that trigger. Whomever that is likely are of two archetypes;


1.) A team with that proveribal "one piece away".


Or.


2.) A team attempting to further boost their prospects for the future (as they see it).



Either way, Bell is likely to be gone before that time.

 

Ozzie Newsome was a great player and he has been a much better GM than Elway.

Also, you mentioned something you posted flying over somebody else's head. Perhaps the issue is the way you struggle to make your points coherently.

 

My guess is that Bell never signs until after the trade deadline.

 

My optimism is dwindling that a trade happens each day. Anyone who was interested would have called by now.

If Pittsburgh is on a 6 game streak or something when Bell is slated to return, does the FO want to mess with that chemistry? Tough call there, I have to wonder if Bell will even play this year.

I said greatest player. Elway was a better player than ozzie. Not saying Elway is the goat but of players who have been gms he probably is the best player among then. Ozzie is a better GM.
