Really? I wouldn't say landslide. The run defense is getting gashed and the secondary is making more splash plays... but it's still getting torched when Watt and Highsmith are neutralized. See Cowboys, Colts and Giants games.

 

Texans have it worse. Texans lost 2 out of 3 of their productive WRs. They still have Tank Dell. This would be like Steelers losing Pickens and CAIII. I don't think you can compare the severity of injuries with Steelers and Texans. Fautanu is the only casualty that will not return anytime soon on OL.... Texans have lost much more on OL.

 

Funny that during Monday night game they specifically said we had the most changes at OL because of injuries than any team in the league this year

Because their defense is just awful and also the second game against them is the last game of the season,so if the bengals are out in the playoffs,very possible that they don't want to play this game,just waiting for the vacation!

 

Man, I'm starting to sound like @S.T.D , why do I have to keep repeating myself? Are the Steelers not banged up themselves and playing with a less than desirable receiver group? Again, how come you guys will make these excuses for other teams but when people use them for the Steelers you somehow push the blame elsewhere. It's got to be Tomlin's fault right?

Oh okay, so that is where the bar is set. A team has to lose two of their top receivers for them to use injuries as an excuse. All other teams are sh!t out of luck? When TJ Watt was out for half of the season 2 years ago, there were still people on this message board sh!tting on the defense for not playing as well as they had with Watt in there. And he is arguably the best defensive player on the planet. Again, my initial point wasn't necessarily the comparison between the Texans and the Steelers with regards to injuries, it was the fact that there are members of this message board who simply won't accept injuries of any kind to be an excuse for a team losing. The hypocrisy of it all is what gets me.

You asked why the Texans “played down” to a ****ty Jets team. It’s because they are ravaged by injuries.

 

Were you making the same excuses when the 49ers were losing games without their star players? Or were you one of the people pointing at Brock Purdy saying that he was just a "system guy" and couldn't win if he didn't have all of his star players.

Moving forward, just go ahead and let me know when it's cool to use different excuses for when the Steelers lose.

Steelers dont have more than 1 wr according to a lot on here. Pickens is our only wr… the rest suck. They sucked when Fields was in there making him look bad, now the wrs are HOF cause people say Wilson underthrows everyone and wrs make Wilson look good by catching everything.
Everyone wants to spend 30 mil a yr for over 30yr old wrs. So Im not sure what the problem is. I think we are doing fine with what we got at wrs.

I know a lot want to blame defense for Cowboys but to me it was Fields at qb playing against a jv Cowboy defense and could only score 17pts against that said defense.
The following week they gave up 49 pts
Also, adding, the Jets still suck

 

maybe not landslide. They are far better and will get better in the coming weeks. There was a ceiling for last years group. I see this group improving week in and week out. They are still top tier defense in the NFL will continue to beat teams with an improved offense defense and special teams You're focusing too much on rushing when passing is a bigger issue with the Steelers. We are 22nd in the league in average passing yards allowed and 4th in rushing yards allowed.

 

good points. He is still having issues with presnap. If he can fix that and get the ball out quicker he will be a formidable QB in the future
