It would not surprise me. Tomlin has a history of taking in lost sheep and giving them 3 to 4 years of inability to improve before the peasants grab pitch forks and start marching towards the castle.

 

TOMLIN either has a terrible eye for coaching talent or just likes to hire yes men who can’t challenge his authority.

 

Not sure why folk don't get that this is a Rooney Rule interview. It's been applied to coordinators for a couple of years now.

 

It's because they mostly don't know what the Rooney Rule actually is. They wait until they see something they don't like and blame it on the "Rooney Rule".

I'd probably find a spot on the staff and bring him along if I had any interest at all. But not as OC.

I dont think anybody could have made that Carolina offence look good last year, he had a rookie QB and no weapons.

This guy has worked with McVay and Kevin O’Connell for a couple of years and was Assistant HC when the Rams won the SuperBowl.

He may not be everyone’s first choice but I think judging him on 2023 alone when he was in a nightmare situation is a bit harsh.

 

Why can't it be both?

Steelers have not had a real offense since bell, big ben, and brown. Their talent overcame weak scheme. Now scheme is archaic. Need total revamp and a new QB. Unless we make Mason Starter. Kenny P. had his shot and a epic failure in offensive production.
