Steelers haven't scored more than 7 1st qtr points in the last 56 games

To be fair,this is better this year but it was pathetic before that!



Last time it was week 1 in 2022 thank to a pick 6 by the steelers

 

Who cares? They have been scoring TDs on opening drives more this season then they have in the past.

If you watched the games they have scored a TD on their opening drives a few times this season, you're just looking for some negative crap like you always do when the team loses a game .

 

I mentionned it at the start that it was better this year but it also includes the 2022-2024 season

 

even the sorry titans score over 7 points in the first quarter today....Last time it happens for the steelers was week 1 in 2022

This is as valuable as having non-losing seasons. Either both stats matter, or neither do.

 

Who gives a rat's ass? They've scored more points than their opponents in 4 out of 6 games this season, so far. That's what matters!

 

It's a symptom of the opening game scripts. Two plus years of Matt Canada is a large chunk.

EDIT: I should also add it's a symptom of a defense that can't get off the field early in games.

 

Well, obviously it isn't that important if the Titans still suck .

 

Yeah,last season the steelers had the worst scoring defense in the first quarter last season

 

Don't matter if they score 21 in first quarter, we'd still be hanging on for dear life with 5 minutes left in game.

Mike would start prevent D in the second qtr.

 

The Steelers have scored on the first drive a number of times this season. If that doesn't count as a fast start for you, then what is your definition of a fast start?

So it appears they have addressed the problem, most notably by signing Rodgers.

 

How long not counting that defensive score.
