If they draft a center and a receiver within the first two rounds, then Moore is likely to stay at LT and Jones at RT.

I agree that’s the most likely scenario next year, even if we take Mims at #20.

Mims, maybe, but Fuega and Latham are more pro-ready.

Huge mistake to not get a replacement for him!! Between him and Cole olaying defenders into the backfield they both killed so many drives by being owned in key downs or situations.

I hope Khan will trade Moore for a center or right tackle!

I am pretty sure at the combine that Khan said Jones would be playing LT this year.

I see the Steelers taking a RT at the #20 spot, because Khan's plans are to have Broderick move to LT this year. I don't know if they could wait until the 2nd or 3rd round to get a starting RT.

I have been on record in stating that, Amarius Mims or otherwise, Dan Moore is starting the Left Tackle position; much to my dismay. However, that proverbial leash won't last as long as others think. Much like Chuks.. I expect a change to occur during the season but not at the beginning.

chuck opened his mouth. that what gave jones a chance.
Even if they select Mims there is no way the would start him. they are not going start Jones and Mims together because to lack playing experience and injury history.
    1st round Barton
    2nd round Pearl

Why do we need Earl Monroe in the second?

2 people call me[IMG] Very Optimistic on that and they are both 100% right.....Mike Tomlin love Dan Moore like crazy for some reason and even if he had Orlando Pace in his prime in his roster,Tomlin would still start Moore at the LT position

We need a draft like last years, I hope, have my fingers crossed.
Just a side note Steelers pay up to the cap year in year out. We made our
big splash for this year with the Queen signing.
I have watched the Steelers/Rooney's for over 55 years, unless something dramatically has changed, they believe in the draft when building teams. Player development is key, these players they are drafting ask yourself are these players getting better? I am starting to wonder?

He gave up 18 qb hurries, 3 qb hits, and 7 sacks last year. He's the 39th ranked offensive lineman, projected to go in the 7th round. Why would we take him in the second? To make Dan Moore look good?

In what round 6th or 7th? Seriously, Moore may have some value, even being rated as the worst starting LT, but on the last year of his contract in what universe 2ould any GM trade a high draft pick, or their starting C or T for Moore? Sometimes the comments here are based on a Madden fantasy rather than a reality.

Yes and green had 4 games at C, we got him in the 3rd and he was an instant starter. Sadly he lost his job to what was the worst C in the league, but we tried to make wine from water!

If you read the tea leaves(pre-draft visits) tackle is high on their list of priorities.

BroJo is the man at LT next season... don't let all the pre draft double talk fool you... Moore will provide depth at both OT positions and our starter on the right side is coming within thex1st 3 rds

i read they met twice with jpj, they love frazier, they met with van pran and the barton. the kid from penn state may not be a bad option either.

they have met with a few tackles. the kid from pitt early, the tackle from notre dame. those two are projected as 4th rounders. several others from 2 down. we will get one for sure but we may end up with a free agent and a draft pick at center. i'm not yet ruling out anderson or cook yet either. wiedl likes dem big body guys. goncalves and fisher and barton and javon foster come in as good size tackles.

It may well be that Moore will be the Day 1 starter at LT this upcoming season but I will be very disappointed if they dont come out of the draft with his eventual replacement.

While receiver is now also a huge need I would not complain if both of their first two picks are used on offensive linemen.
