If this is the account then the police easily could have slapped a kidnapping charge on BR and his friends.

(I know this because a co-worker once had a hard-on about a female co-worker. He decided to break into her apartment and wait for her to come home. When she came in, he slammed the door behind her and wouldn't let her leave. That right there ended up as a kidnapping charge (along with other charges)).

I think there was some difficulty in proving she wanted to leave the room just as there was difficulty proving what happened once she was in there. The reason was the same. She was too drunk to be a good witness.

I have to question the timing of Porter Sr's statements.... he had 4 yrs to open up, but waited until just before Ben's eligibility for the H.O.F. to put put a question mark on his character..... this, IMHO, is the epitome of pettiness and needs to also be put on blast..
If he's only siting Ben's younger yrs, then this is deliberate sabotage....
Ben has been more than honest and forthcoming about the person he used to be and taken more than enough steps to repair his image

True. You can be a great football player and a terrible person. OJ, Ray Lewis, LT, Ben Rothlisberger, Aaron Hernandez, Rae Carruth..etc etc.

No, he really hasn't. He hasn't fully owned that night with the girl in Georgia.

He is a ****ty human...He was a first round draft pick so he had some talent. Probably not great as his nfl life got cut short by prison.

We agree that he is a horrible person, but no, I wouldn't say he was a great football player. I think it would be a stretch to apply that term to Aaron Hernandez, too. He was very good, not great.

I believe it was because Ben had made comments about Tomlin, including cleaning house.

It seems like Porter is connecting Ben’s comments to a lack of loyalty, and by extension, Porter has further made comments about the type of person or team player Ben was.

Exactly. Who doesn't change anything from their 20s to their 40s. We aren't even the same people later.
I know some guys that were the biggest SOBs you ever met in their 20s, and later they are the nicest guys you ever met, and vice versa.

I also heard that he didn't like him, but I don't know how true that is.

To me, those situations involving women, particularly the Georgia situation, were unacceptable.

I think it is fair to recognize what a talent he was on the football field and his contributions to the team, but also fair to simultaneously recognize he wasn’t an upstanding human being.

I saw some posts about comparing Porter’s transgressions to Ben’s. I don’t think those two are remotely the same. Porter would run his mouth and carry on, but that seemingly was the extent of it.

Really. How about Porter, and his gang of thugs jumping on one guy in cassino. Hell there is video evidence of that

He did something in a bathroom with a girl, doesn't mean she wasn't willing, and just because he had someone outside blocking the door doesn't mean she wasn't willing, it only means they didn't want to be interrupted. You, and me weren't there. So this is spreading accusations that you don't know the real full story, and neither do I.
I hate to tell you this , but she wouldn't be the 1st person to lie about having consensual deeds, and then changing their minds, and deciding to make up a story.

Tomlin messed up with TJ/JH and LBell/LBlount. Rotate your players. Keep them fresh. Not only should he have given rookie TJ some snaps off, he surely should’ve given Harrison 10 or so snaps a game. Same thing with giving Blount some carries. Tomlin mismanaged that and when the wheels fell off LBell, he started Ben Tate in the playoffs.

Without looking it up, the team they took to the playoffs in 2017 was hurting for depth. No Shazier hurt them for several years. Reaching for scrubs in the draft thereafter.
