Steelers drama from former players

Haha! Posted this at the same time in the Offseason thread.

Offseason sucks. Especially when you have current and former Steelers airing out dirty laundry on lame podcasts.
Wish Peezy, Cam, James and Ben would stfu. And of course Ryan Clark. I'll give the latter a little rope given that is his job in the media.

They all want more people to care about what they think now that they are gone. LoL
I have never played on a team where everyone liked everyone, or even agreed with everyone. Without Ben JP would have no SBs, and a even less audience

 

Whhaaaaaaa? Ben R was a crappy person? No way! J Porter is readily offended and thinks he is better than everyone? Who could have predicted this!!

Retired athletes will go in front of any available microphone in an attempt to stay relevant? No Way! When did this start happening?

 

He didnt just say he wasnt a good teammate he also said he wasnt a good person, damn.

 

It will be interesting to see if Ben responds on his podcast because right now Ben is like:

 

A lot of Ben's former teammates seem to like what Porter had to say.

 

Says the guy who's mouth was always writing checks his teammates had to cash.

Also says the guy who got thrown out of a game during warmups getting into a fight.

Oh yeah, Joey Porter was a great teammate in his own mind.

This doesn't absolve Ben of anything either. These guys were good and they were cocky.

It's hilarious listening to these guys talk about who was a great teammate or not. Locker rooms are full of different characters. Some of your own players would piss you off so bad and you would ***** about them, but you would kick anyone's ass that wasn't on your team who said the same about them.

They won a bunch of games because of guys like both of them.

 

A lot of Ben's teammates with egos as big as his have always been pissed off that everyone knew they won Super Bowls because Ben is the player that made it happen.

All those alpha males on defense want the world to think it was the defense that was the driving force of those teams. They seem to leave out the times when they were crying on the sidelines after big losses because they didn't have a quarterback good enough to get them where they wanted to go until Ben got there.

You do notice it's almost always the defensive guys giving Ben $hit, right?

His crappy lineman who he hung out with and bought gifts for every year don't seem to ***** about him too much.

Crazy AB talked crap about him, then found out he was playing with a legend and didn't appreciate it while he was here. He never had anywhere near the production with any other quarterback including the guy everyone calls the GOAT.

That locker room was FULL of big ego guys.

 

I get that most NFL players retire when ordinary young men are just getting mature in their chosen field. I think a lot of them have no idea what to do for the next 50 years of their life. Lets face it, they are great sounding boards for all the NFL clickbait BS. I think the NFL Network begs some of them to say anything about anybody.

You'd think with that college degree they could do whatever they wanted in the field they studied so hard for.

He was a pro AB like crazy in 2019

 

He wasn't with the team long, but it doesn't mean he didn't know what Ben was like as a teammate or person.

 

His comments on AB in 2019 have lost all the little credibility he had

 

Wrong. Wrong and wrong. Big Ben was great for results. But he is and always will be aloof. You could always see it in his interviews. Aura of fakeness. I said many times on here with kickback that Big Ben was never a leader. One of the best leaders said what was always known from those who weren't or aren't still in denial.

 

I mean, I agree with you....but good rant anyways.

 

If they were current teamates I might give a $hit, but now? don't care if they ever talk to each other.

 

I was about to write mostly the same. Even Ben admits he wasn't a great person or teammate early on and later found his way.

His ears must be burnin' somethin' fierce after Porter just dunked on him so hard though. Jeez.

 

The comments about Ben are pretty wild (though not all that surprising IMO especially early in his career...I'd imagine Jordan was also a bad team mate). Also not surprising that Mason agreed...Ben seems to really dislike Mason.

Emerson Martin saying he believes that O'Donnell threw SB XXX is insane.
