oh you are in pre draft mode already. ;)

i like the corners we have right now. sign them back. let beanie evolve. i am really glad we brought rowe back. our youth need to stay healthy. the kid we drafted from texas was looking pretty good. trice could be. i am not against drafting one but i like the seasoned guys we have.

I'm not saying they can't be good, but there is only one out there I actually trust.....right this moment, and He can get kinda grabby

This exactly. There are certain types of Qbs that are more suitable to blitz more, and there are others that you must blitz less. This is what I'm getting at when people every single game say.....blitz....blitz blitz no matter who we are playing. It drives me crazy. LoL

We could have the best corners in the league and you'd still want to draft one ;)

I actually like our group. Porter has been called tight this year (and has definitely deserved a good deal of his flags), but as a coverage guy he's been fine enough. I am a bit disappointed it was a smallish step back and not a step forward, but he's still young and has stretches of really good play. Jackson has been quite good as a #2 as well. 5 INT's and doesn't give up a ton of big plays. Sutton and Bishop handle the slot well enough too. Trice looks to be a solid player when healthy (though he's been banged up quite a bit), and honestly Pierre is great as depth with experience and really good ST'er. Not saying I would be upset if we went CB, but I think WR, RB, and DL are our team's biggest needs.

WR - Need a #2 desperately. We could find ourselves trading, signing, or drafting
RB - Won't be incredibly difficult to find a quality back, just gotta figure out how we're doing it. Draft or FA would be great.
DL - Just need to get a bit younger, so I would prefer drafting here.

You are correct. I would draft one every year.
Also You are correct that they are calling JPJ very tight.
I have always thought, and probably always believe that most Wrs can be had beyond the 1st round.

Very good chance the Steelers lose 2 of the next 3 games. Steelers have to win this Philly game because it gets worse with rest the next two game against the Ravens and Chiefs.

I don't think that is true. The Eagles might be the most difficult remaining game on the schedule given the quality of the opponent and the fact that the game is on the road. The Eagles beat the Ravens. They are better than the Ravens and possibly better than the Chiefs. The Steelers will play the Chiefs in Pittsburgh and it will be only three days rest, which is always a big advantage for the home team.

They could lose 2 of the next 3 and still win the division by beating the Ravens.

Yup. That game needs to be the focus. I assume the Steelers will need to win at least one more to clinch a playoff spot. If they go 0-4 and either the Dolphins or Colts win out, the Steelers would miss the playoffs. Both of those teams play decent opponents this week, then nobody worth a damn in the final three.

If we lose 2 of next 3 we should hope Philly is one of the loses. Non-conference game and they beat the Ravens already.

Also the one interception by Benton our nose tackle was a result of a blitz by Queens, that was a huge defensive play. Your right in that QB like Peyton and Brady you might want to think twice about blitzing but Winston, Flacco and Prescott, don't give these guys all day to throw because we are not getting pressure from our 4. Each game is different and you can tell during games how we are getting pressure from our basic 4.

    EXACTLY

We will need to find a solid CB for the 2025 season. 2 or 3 - many are on 1 yr agreements, yes - there will be work to do.

our CB shelf is as strong as i can remember it being, in many many years, here in 2024.

Tom Brady comes to mind. Blitz him and he rips you to shreds. Tua gets rid of the ball so fast blitzing him is pretty much pointless. There are more

Agreed. They should have blitzed Winston more in the first meeting. They had great success when they did it, but it wasn't often enough. Remember, a blitz by Queen forced Winston into what should have been a huge intentional grounding penalty only to have the officials screw it up by not calling it.

correct - Ravens game is for the Division, it looks like. Beat them and it is over, we win.

they can run the table, however - I think.

IF, IF we lose to the Rats and we both finish 12-5, who wins the Tie Breaker? We beat the Raiders, they LOST. this might be the difference......

they played Patty Cake, in the first game.

many saw it as a classic trap game.....and that it was.

Did not start playing offense until late 3rd Q. D never woke up....

I think somebody laid all that out on another thread. I think if they can still win the tiebreaker if they beat the Bengals.
