Steelers Color Rush uniforms for the Christmas game.

Compared to some of the other teams' uniforms these are pretty good.

 

Who's bright idea was it to use a black background and turf?

 

Like the color rush uniforms. They should wear the yellow helmets from the throwbacks they wore from '07-'11... and make them into an alternative home uniform to the traditionals... wear them twice a season.

I don't get it. Do they not realize that the throwback helmets are not actually helmets from 1970?

 

They don't want multiple helmets for safety reasons. Easier to dial in a player's helmet to their specific head size and shape whereas having multiple helmets for each player increases the risk of injury due to less wear and less fine tuning. When I heard that I was like you have got to be kidding me.apparently the wear and tear of a single game doesn't get taken into consideration let alone a season long campaign

 

I'm not crazy about the color rush uniforms, but I'm glad they at least aren't like that.

 

Well, I think that yellow helmet is ugly anyway, I don't need to see it being worn in a game ever again....

I love those helmets! I think it's a good break from the traditional and blends well with the uniform, no matter which one they wear.

Prime time on Christmas day the world well see the Steelers lock up the AFC North and look good doing it. Go Steelers!!!

 

Ratbirds will be wearing lavender Unis with purple raisin shaped helmets.

 

My favorite color rush unis. Couldn't stand looking at most of them--- like panthers/seahawks.

 

I'm so glad it will be cold when they wear them because in heat...they would pass out

 

I didn't realize it was a safety reason behind not changing the helmets. I can at least sort of get behind the theory on that. Although really, how hard would it be to dial in another helmet? What if there's a helmet problem during the game? Isn't the player then in jeopardy of not using a correct helmet?
Why not apply a vinyl wrap to the outside of the helmet? You still are using the same helmet shell, just it looks different.

 

Some of the all-white uniforms have not been too bad. So the Steelers should have been allowed to wear these...

Sorry to disagree, but I think they are yucky. Maybe my wife is right. Im just an old grump. If something works, why screw with it? My Edsel is just fine.

if so, it is appropriate because the game is usually a bruiser and the field would like some giantass booboo
