Isn't it also possible that it was a player we wanted to draft who we thought fit our system, but another team got to first?

 

Well we are thin here hopefully he will contribute (See James Harrison). Maybe this guy will land here and show something, given the injuries and lack of drafting maybe this guy can help. Wishful thinking yes but who cares I want the best for us!!

In this case, though, I wouldn't know. Don't know enough about the relative systems he's been a part of.

 

It's not the direction the defense would want to go age wise but Champ Bailey was cut by the Saints mainly because he missed three weeks of camp with a foot injury that is now fixed. He says he's 100% now. I think he would be an upgrade over some of the other dbs currently on the 53.

 

I think if we get one good one out of blake, webb and McCain, we will be fine. that would give us 4 good ones and if Mitchell meshes and the shark and golden keep playing better, we will be fine. these guys are fairly new to this defense, so I'm willing to give them time to show what they have and not just a couple of preseason games. the whole defense should get better every week of play. we have to stay healthy though.

 

Jam tastes really good with burnt toast and I have a feeling our secondary is going to get burnt or toasted regularly lol

I just hope BW stands for Big Wide Webb and everything thrown his way sticks to said Web. < see what I did there.

 

Webb was out played by an undrafted free agent in camp and he was cut, dont see any upside to this guy, but we cant evaluate corner talent anyway so it doesn't matter that much...

 

If it was Spud Webb we'd turn him into a receiver

 

Sad thing is that the day he was signed.... he instantly made the 53 man roster cuts.... That's sad for the other guys that were here in camp.

 

I can't comment on what he did in dallas, but some guys just are not good fits in some defensive styles. just because he didn't do well in the cowboys scheme doesn't mean he will or won't be a better fit in ours. it's so hard to go by prior results on some guys. maybe they played more man there and we will use him as more of a zone guy. I thought dallas ran a 4-3, and if so maybe he fits a 3-4 better. I'm sure not going to say he sucks here before I see him play here, just on what he did in dallas.

 

i remember the f.o. liked webb in the draft and if i remember well he went just some spot earlier than landry jones ..

 

dallas runs a 3/4 and has been for quite some time
